@@jedidiahfite5960 tl;dr - Gerald made Shadow to save mankind, but after the GUN stormed the ARK and killed his research team and his daughter, he manipulated Shadow's memory so he'd think his mission was to kill the humans. After SA2 Shadow had amnesia and Eggman locked Shadow in a pod to create androids based off of him. Shadow eventually recovers his lost memories after a vlog made by Gerald and Maria explained his purpose to him.

Ryan not knowing Shadow's backstory was beautifully thematic.

Everything about this Let's Play was perfect. Lindsay's voice acting, Michael's off-color Sonic comments, Trevor's quiet echidna Neo, Jack's wasted Amy, Ryan's doesn't-know-Sonic-but-still-somehow-plays-a-perfect-chaotic-neutral Shadow, Rim-botnic, and the stellar editing. 10/10 I hope this fanfic has a sequel!

Honestly considering how bad Shadow's memory is, Ryan not knowing his lore is surprisingly more friendly from my knowledge

The best thing about this is the fact that every one of them (especially jack) is barely holding it together. Every minute or so, someone is turned away from their mic laughing at something.

This video is a goldmine. Every time I watch I hear something new. 15:58 - Lindsey as Innocent Tails: "Shit. (pause) I mean shoot."

This might be one of the best AH videos of all time. Absolutely hilarious

Words can not describe what I just witnessed... but I loved it.

Sooo recap... Sonic got all the emeralds and didn’t fight Robotnik until the end. Knuckles tries fighting Robotnik and fails each time. Shadow tries fighting Robotnik and wins each time. Amy and Tails are basically just there to help Sonic and each other. Sounds about right for a Sonic game really

@@NativeJoel I have little doubt that Jim Carrey will be funny, but as for him being convincing as Robotnik...I'm not going to hold my breath on it.

Yeah it seems like egg man forgot about knuckles and tails. Hell even jack didn't know amy was a hedgehog as well. They are missing best girl "Blaze the Cat" (at least in the video games. While in the comic its Clove the Pronghorn)

@@InugamiTheHound Best girl? What about Princess Sally Acorn, the original love interest from the comics? And also the biggest character in the Sonic franchise that no one has ever heard of lol Ya know, I have fond memories of the early comics, but it's been a long time since I stopped reading. Last one I read was like issue #200 or sommat, I'm sure they're on a completely different timeline or some shit now.

Jack is really the unsung hero of this let’s play. The commitment to that nightmare Amy voice is priceless

Lindseys Tails voice was weirdly and hilariouisly close to Rubys at times! XD

My favorite part is that the subtitles are character names and not their actual names, so seeing “sonic: oh my god you drunk bitch” is amazing

My favorite part of Sonic games is when Robotnik screams his name like a Pokemon.

This is the funniest video they've made in GTA in a long time. The RP is off the charts and the edits are fantastic. Shoutouts to Lindsey's work as Incel Tails.

lol you can hear Michael drop the sonic character for a bit and actually get mad at Jack's driving XD

Jeremy continuously referring to himself in 3rd person as Robotnik is perfection.

Say what you will about the script, but the casting is fantastic

Ryan is truly ambivalent towards both good and evil.

I don't think I ever laughed so hard. There needs to be a sequel to this with the upcoming release of Sonic 2 movie. Eggman (Jeremy NEEDS to come back for this) tricks Knuckles (Trevor) in thinking Sonic (Michael) stole the Master Emerald. Tails (Lyndsey) and Amy Rose (Jack) help Sonic in his adventure - but then Shadow (Geoff cameo) comes in at the last minute and fucks everything up.
