I am excited for this. Naoto Ohshima created the design that started a well-known video game franchise of all time. It's awesome he's coming back.

Iizuka really wasn't lying when he said this would be Sonic's year part two. Not only are we getting lots of content but also the original freaking character designer came back after all this time! What a time to be a fan

The fact that the designer literally kept sonic the same look after 30 years has to be an award

I really hope more classic characters show up maybe as NPC’s been a while since we’ve seen the classic chaotix of the hooligans (minus fang and the mania cameos) and don’t forget mighty and ray

​​@@arpwcos2011so true modern Sonic IS great but man all those horrible times in the mid late 2000s and 2010s when this franchise Was getting destroyed by Sega and critics , Nintendo fanboys , haters, made fun of Sonic especially thé terrible fanbase all thanks to 06 , but bringing Back Sonic s'failures wont evolve this franchise so WE need to make Sonic evolve glad these disgusting Times are over for Sonic , frontiers is the solid comeback of the franchise .

@@guitarspud1723 yes but they changed his name to Fang in the Japanese version because it sounded too similar to Knuckles' name when written in katakana

The characters are animated so good, it even has the stretching movement, Can’t wait to buy this.

I hope mighty and ray from Sonic mania plus become playable characters because I am looking forward to seeing what these characters look like in 3d.

Dayum I didn't see the announcement live but when i saw the notification and trailer, i lost it. A co op classic 4 player game, sign me up and it's artstyle is amazing. I'm definitely gonna buy this day 1 and play this couch co op with my family. It's cool that there is online multiplayer and different costumes too

This game looks like a whole lot of fun. The option to play as Tails, Knuckles, and Amy already has my attention, but the fact that we are getting a new original character is something I am super Pumped about. 🌟

The artstyle looks great. After Lost World and Forces, I assumed SEGA couldn't get what made the classic artstyle so appealing, but the environments look gorgeous here. Looks good, I wish we had games where TOEI or other animation studios work on the story and design.

Also the entire game just reeks of Mario influence, The Deadly Six being the off-brand Koopa family, the grass/sand/cloud/ice/lava worlds, and the game just being a part of Sega's 3-game exclusivity deal with Nintendo.

Nah, he's just Fang the Sniper from Sonic the Figthers and Sonic Triple Trouble, but also, i don't notice this in the first time that i watched the trailer, i only have seen him in the ending scene

I’ve always wanted a sonic game that’s like NSMB and now that we’re getting one fills me with joy. But I’m also glad we’re getting the og designer back as these models look great (and so does the game).

The Amy outfit you get for signing up for the newsletter is her modern outfit and I also hope that Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles also receive additional outfits as well. 🤞

I love how the the new model for classic sonic looks like, it's literally like playing with the artbox character itself.

I'm definitely going to pre-order this one for sure

It's so nice to see Fang around. He was a major character in the Classic era, never came back in Modern games, and has only had some cameos on posters and as an illusion.

@@bls8959 Triple Trouble, Drift 2, Fighters, was gonna be in X-treme... That's a lot of appearances in the Classic Era. That's more appearances than Mighty, Ray, the Chaotix, Bean, or Bark. This guy was big then.

So given the fact that the indivisual emeralds give you special powers, completing a special stage and getting one is gonna feel a lot more rewarding as you get a new power every time you collect one, instead of just when you get all 7.

You don't know how much it means to me that the original character designer of Sonic The Hedgehog is being brought on board for an official Sonic project for the first time since 1998's Sonic Adventure.
