Same. I liked it a lot. I’d say it’s a middle tier show as I enjoyed it more than Adventures and Boom but not as much as the other TV shows. Plus I liked the original characters such as Sonic’s family.

Sigh... I wish they could bring them back, even just once... Sonic Underground, and mainly Manic for me, was (and still is) my absolute LOVE.

I really love these redesigns! They fit really well in the Modern Sonic design sensibility. I'd be interested to see you continue with the sonic underground route! Maybe redesign Sleet and Dingo? Just a suggestion. I still really love this video!!!

Do you have an idea on how to get these characters back from the stubborn writers and artists of SEGA? No matter how much we say it, they don't give a damn which I'm close to having their business ruined.

I had zero hesitation clicking on this video. Sonic Underground was that weird lost show from my childhood that was only uncovered through the use of yahoo answers. I didn’t exactly hesitate in buying the complete DVD set at the dollar store a few years later either. And yea, it’s a bit cringey, but the trio has a nice dynamic and I personally find the show interesting.

They're nice enough, but the lack of shading makes them look a bit awkward. I wish Sega would bring these two back. I loved Sonic Underground as a kid and the dynamic the three had going on.

Now that is Cool Redesigns for Sonia and Manic if they were in the Games. :3 and I wonder, Can you do a redesign of Johnny Lightfoot and Louis Porker from the Fleetway Sonic Comic?

Nice work. Good to see sonics.soblings get some more love. Personally since idk what the eye color of their father is, but if Queen Aleena had purple and assuming his father had green eyes, I think the boys would have the green eyes while Sonia has her mother's purple. That or they all have hazel/brown if you go by a grown up classic look, rather than the modern look.

I love 'em! I can see them struttin' down the sidewalk of Station Square with Sonic and Tails! Sonia carrying Tails and locked in conversation with Sonic and him, while Manic is constantly trolling everyone on the street. XD

Sonic Underground was my introduction to the sonic franchise, for better or for worse. I love these redesigns so much. They bring the characters to life so well.

Finally someone finally remembered them and made a video

Totally love to see your take on Archie, Fleetway, or IDW characters some time. These designs are really swell, and I will admit, definitely something Sega would greenlight, no doubt about it. I will say that if I were to redesign Sonia, I'd keep the messy bang look and have it be a lot more extravagant like it was in the cartoon. But regardless, I think the short quills look really nice on her, and the redesigned attire, whilst it's not redrawn entirely, is also immensely well-drawn, and I think adding more pearls onto the belt also adds a bit more definition to it, and brings out the regal princess angle a bit more. As for Manic... what can I say? The dude looks awesome, regardless of who draws him. Move aside, Scourge. Manic is the man. XD

i remember coming here has a child and hearing the sonic dub of the 20 years later thing, i'm glad this channel is still up and running. Has for the character designs they where absolutely lovely!,tho i do think manic seems like the fingersless glove type.

Well, Manic is a bit of a wild card. Hes always ready for an adventure and has a lot of energy! I admire her sense of freedom and the way she marches to the beat of her own drum. But sometimes I think hes should try to take it slow for a bit and just enjoy life in the present moment

Sorry to be quite the late viewer but I love these redesigns, as a 90's kid I grew up with Sonic Underground (and I still watch it today) and I have to say I would love to see the return to Sonia and Manic in today's games, even Sonic's buddy Cyrus then again that could just be the child in me

I don’t really see the need for them in the current Sonic era, they barely use their large cast enough as it is, adding more would just make the problem worse, as much as I love them. Maybe the comics could take on the challenge. But I like to imagine how I would add them to the games. I would make Manic an anti-hero. Possibly a bounty hunter. Since he was raised by thieves it makes sense. Most of the times he would be on Sonic’s side, but sometimes if there was a precious object/artifact or target to be taken down, they would clash, maybe possibly fight each other. Maybe join Nack the Weasel and Bean and have them act as a group of possible antagonists so we don’t need to use Eggman all the damn time. As for Sonia I would have her become a designer working alongside Honey the cat or even a gadget/weapon/vehicle designer and mechanic. She would show up as a store clerk in the games when the characters had to purchase something to enhance gameplay. Either that or I would have her join the Chaotix. I think that would make for some really engaging dialog and interaction between her and the other members of the group. She could act as their scout that would find cases for them to solve using her motorcycle to move from place to place. Or just have her on her own acting as a courier that would sometimes aid the Chaotix.

Decided to look it up, and yeah. Manic was the tech guy. Sadly though, he has no super abilities of his own without his medallion. Sonia was the strong one and Sonic was the fast one.

Those are really good modern designs for Manic and Sonia. Nice work. Even though Underground is a separate universe, it would still be nice to see Sonic's siblings from the show in the games, and see how they interact with his friends and allies.

Sonic Underground came out a year after Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast. If The game and the show had come together..................... OT: Your modern versions of Sonia and Manic are absolutely amazing.

Sonia the hedgehog settled onto a secluded beach, wearing her bikini. She closed her eyes, focusing on her breath to calm her thoughts. The gentle sound of waves and the warm sun helped her find peace within.

These are awesome redesigns for sonia and manic. If sega decide to make them canon go the games best guess they should be from and alternate universe remiicent to the archie comics were along their big bro, sally and knuckles are part of the freedom fighters since underground seem to be loosely takes place in a similar scenario were eggman was making cyber animals and enslaving the planet.

I remember watching it when I was very young I think my opinion of it was "ehhh" at that time but I do actually miss Sonia and Manic ur redesigns look absolutely lovely btw :0

I think Sonia and Manic Should have their backstory being changed And not be related to each other or sonic. For my idea: they met each other at a young age when they were kidnapped by sleet. Sleet: Unlike his TV version, He's more competent, ruthless ruthless, Emma and lacks any comic relief or leave or redeeme qualities, similar to robot satam. He used to have a partner named dingo, comma until he murdered him from petty reasons. Sonia: She was one of the Royal families until they were killed by either sleet or infinite. Like her version, she has enhanced strength and is skilled in hand to hand combatant. Manic: he's the hybrid of zeti and mobian and was raised by either pirates, banbits or other crimminal orginaization. Like the zeti's species, manic has the power to manipulate magnetic fields, controlling machine and electronics.
