The difference is that Archie Sonic has a multiverse. So when Evil Sonic is introduced, he fits right alongside all the other Sonic versions. THEN he became a different color due to permanently absorbing energy from the Master Emerald after being interrupted from going Super, which is also how he got the scar marks. This is why fan made alternate universe Sonic's get less flak than Sonic recolors: the former has a reason to be similar yet different, the latter is "Hey look, I made Sonic but the way I want him and look how much cooler and edgier he is."

I couldn't finish the Sonic 3 and Knuckles (I had the PC version as I didn't play console back then) as Sonic or Tails. That was when I was nine or tens years old, then years later (when I was 19) I saw this short and didn't believe it. I bought the PC version of the game off ebay and low and behold.... up and down....

I drew a comic of the funny kiss thing , without getting the joke, when. I was like 11. I remember it involved Sally throwing her cigarette into the forest while telling Tails the dangers of drugs, and the whole forest catches on fire. Sonic.exe was in it too and he gets lit on fire too, and proceeds to run and scream in pain. I was a very special snowflake. I also thought the magic tampons were a real thing.

​@@Waddlejpg Egmount Fleetway's Sonic The Comic's depiction of Super Sonic. In Britian, Archie Sonic wasn't a thing so we had Sonic The Comic instead. In the comic, Super Sonic was like Mr Hyde to Sonic's Dr Jekyll; he was not just a super form of Sonic. He was a bad guy, a demon who took a sadistic pleasure in torturing his victims and had a dark sense of humour to boot. Anyways there's a few videos on Sonic The Comic - including one by Cybershell.

I watched this when I was younger about like 6 and I didn't know what Sally was holding I it was a flashlight but now that I'm 10 I now know that it was a cigar the whole time
