Eggman WAS once a very good, and kind person once but a accident involving those awful "garbage diamonds" made him the way he is.... sonic even said he saw him "like the dad he never had" Even if he'd never admit it to him. that man's name was "ivo kentober" and buryed deep with in Eggman is that small part of him left even if Eggman would never admit it openly or actively.

I highly recommend reading or watching the back story of the "Archie" Eggman and sonic, As it is the "Sonic Bible" accurate version of their relationship. Which Sega has strayed far far FAR away from by listening to us fans.

also Eggman doesn't HATE sonic, sonic is just a "nuisance" a road block he's said as much time and time again. Eggman has some good left in him and it shows on very, very, VERY Rare occasions. like when sonic, tails, and Eggman teamed up to fight the "deadly six". Eggman is evil not insane or stupid he knows sonic is the world's only hope which once again is why Eggman calls him a "road block" or "bothersome".

*I honestly think I can describe the relationship between sonic and Eggman basically its I hate you but you complete me relationship yes Eggman wants sonic dead or defeated but not in a way that would make him feel unsatisfied or unhappy basically Eggman sees sonic as a worthy adversary a great archenemy someone who will push him to his limits to break through and improve Eggman wants to prove his superiority that he is far better than sonic Eggman basically doesn't want to win in a way that won't prove that he is the best because Eggmans dream is to take over and build his empire to Eggman sonic is nesscary for him to improve on his genius so if he can't defeat sonic permanently in a way that proves he is superior then his victory would be hollow and lack luster and pathetic in his eyes for example sonic dying in a accident or by something or someone else this goes so far that Eggman is willing to team up with sonic if he has to in order to protect clash between them you can say honestly Eggman has a small amount of respect for sonic and the power sonic shows. To be honest this battle/ fight/ clash between sonic and Eggman will most likely go on for the rest of Eggman and sonics lives or until one of them admits to who truly is the superior or better one basically its ultimate obsession or the ultimate battle of wills*(honestly creator of this video I hope you can show/respond to this comment or put it in a video that sonics family can react to this comment because I would love to see their reactions to this revelation about Eggman btw I love this video.)
