I don't like this level with sonic particularly, but with knuckles or tails i admit that is one of the best levels in the game

The Sonic series had some of the best music ever, but the SNES was just capable of so much more than the Genesis with more realistic instrumental sounds. Sega was really good with the arcade-electronic sounds, which were really good for the types of games released. But, the SNES emulated music more effectively with what it had than any console ever released before or since.

Man... SO many good Sonic the Hedgehog songs. This one, however, has to be my all-time favorite. It had an epicness that remained throughout the level, and the level itself was awesome being on a huge airship, the theme fit perfectly.

I'm just discovering Sonic songs have amazing basslines. This one is out of control awesome!

SONOFCAVEMAN To be honest, i kind of like the 3ds version, and everyone has their own opinions on games so it wouldn't be a crime to like the wii u version. I have a friend that likes it, but i respect his opinion. Anyway, i made that my profile picture first because those were the games i was playing. i would give shattered crystal a 7.5 because you got a feel of classic gameplay, but there still were flaws.

Well It's easier to just say '3DS Version' as it takes less time. Sonic Boom would of also been a better game as something that Is not sonic. as the gameplay ideas are pretty much the OPPOSITE of your average Sonic game.

Absolutely love this. Half of the atmosphere in this game is made by outstanding music. Flying battery (especially act II) just has this feeling.. which I'd call mechanical wistfulness

God, I always love it when they put a giant airship stage in. I just think of one on my own design... solar panels for extended flight, extra fuel for the thrusters for quick manuevers and getting off the ground. 3 cargo bays (tanks, gyro bikes [my own design] and helicopters) along with a area for foot soldiers. Three main cannons on the front, mortars down the middle, and omni directional dual minigun turrets protecting the wings. ALL SHALL BOW DOWN BEFORE THE MIGHT OF THE AIRSHIP SILVER HAWK.

Let's just hope they make a sonic 3 and knuckles generations (WITH KNUCKLES AND MILES "TAILS" PROWER BEING PLAYABLE.)

It was damn well amazing back then and it's still amazing now. Sure it's nostalgia but is it really nostalgia if we've felt the same way all along? I don't expect my love for these classics will ever die. Not to deny the quality of the good games that are released these days, but I played the good games in -those- days all through my childhood. Thus they will always remain somewhat magical.
