AAAAAAAAAAAAA I DID IT!
Was not expecting this to be a 40 at all. Hell I was not even expecting it to be a 41 cause of the embarassment that was Hang Castle (in which I lost 40 - 50 seconds), and Egg Emperor (lost 20 seconds there cause I didn't do it perfectly), and some other minor stuff. One main thing I added here was the Power Plant ultra glide which saved me like 20 seconds (there are 2 other "major glides" (flower skip in Frog Forest and the one at the start of Ocean Palace), and if I included them I would save another 20 - 30 seconds, but they're really difficult). Either way this run is so much better than my previous 42:45 run, and I'm gonna be doing attempts for a 39:xx

Always love how you gotta collect keys in final fortress to free eggman but Vector just punches the door open anyways

Also let's mention that Dr. Robotnik said he was going to pay the chaotix after he conquers the world... He can afford fleets and armies, but not pay the chaotix. 🤡
Team Chaotix when they only got under an hour to do their job.

Forget sonic. Speed rushing Chaotix are the fastest being alive.

Great run! I think infinite flight could be used as a safety strategy the end of HC. BTW, is infinite flight glitch allowed in LTS?

it is afaik, iirc i saw another runner do it in a LTS run the wallbounce is a tad bit riskier but its faster
I have a problem in Rail canyon. In the part of 17:03, I always hit the rail again after pressing the space bar, being unable to perform the ultra glide. What may be my problem?

one of the things you can do is align your camera so that its not facing the rail directly when doing the glide
Why did Eggman want hermit crabs, or to destroy all his robots in the city?
Howd egg emperor go down so fast? Like i noticed that he didnt get to shift colors so it was in neutral allowing you to spam thundershoot bypassing its defense systems?
great run i would love to learn theses glides glithes do you have any links of how i could do it?

thanks! unfortunately theres no guide for PC heroes yet, so no really. you could mimic some of the stuff i do in the runs

Why the pauses? What do they do?

It's pause buffering, it can make certain inputs and such easier. Also it seems there were moments where they had to pause to switch the camera between auto and free, allowing for a better view of whatever they're doing.
Wow this story is annoying even when watching speed run at 2x speed. God how I hate those castle levels.
