Ohhhh the memory... I was 9, in 2007... Checking the Smash Bros website everyday... When I see... "..." I clicked it, wondering what it could be... I see Mario, punching some goombas. Then feet, running quickly. Could it be? I watched the screen intently... Then Mario again. Red shoes and blue legs... I started thinking "Oh my god..." Mario gets wiped out, and I hear "Sonic's the name, speed's my game!" My mind couldn't comprehend. But it was true. "Sonic the Hedgehog joins the brawl!"

Sonic may have tried to teach Shadow a lesson in this song. The circumstances of one's birth doesn't matter. It's what you do with your life afterwards.

I'll be honest, I put this on during the final boss. Its my all time favorite song.

They need to make another Sonic game that focuses on all three main hedgehogs again (the concept of '06 but with actually good game design) and have them all go Super for the final boss with this as the music.

On the True Album was a "2007 Mix" of Live and Learn, which had new drums and a few other changes, but they kept using the original afterwards.

SEGA originally planned to remake this song like they did with Open Your Heart, however seeing as how the fans consider this song perfect, and that we sonic fans are not the best fanbase out there... >> They decided not to remake it because they didnt want to mess up one of the greatest songs in the series. Personally, I wish they had redone it. :(

You will get it randomly by jumping into bells and if it is a giant orange note then it is a song. The more you get then the higher chance you will get it since it is random.

Go to every single challenge stages(i don't remember which one) hit the bell by jumping you will see a music note and catch it then eventually whatever challenge stage you go to you will get live and learn.

You gotta collect all orange notes, i believe theres about 56 tho, not worth it in my opinion you're better off grabbing your phone, earbuds or heaphones and listening to the song at the moment you want to while playing the game

Awesome song, but the Shadow battle in Sonic Generations just didn't resonate with me like in SA2. Really wish they would put the SA2 Dreamcast version on the XBLA and PSN.

You have to get the big orange notes but they are random. But it also plays in the Shadow mini boss fight when you use your special power up.
