In general, spin jumping without M/D-speed causes sonic to slow down. Much more speed is lost without the acceleration skill. And hey thanks for the support!

1:14 i normally thought it was full 3d because you can drift but no, restricted 3d's drift doesn't slow you down when you collide near the wall. (3d's Get it?)

That's right, there are different types of restricted 3D. But yeah, basically anywhere you can drift without changing direction is a restricted area

I know this comment doesn't have to do with the video but what if someone made a planet wisp mod where the stage is at night with fireflies glowing at night that would be cool and the factory part would be lighter and have crystals in the background

In rooftop run you did that restricted 3d drift glitch. With the acceleration skill do you go slightly faster with m speed?

Acceleration doesn't really affect M-speed, it's best used to improve basic movement

Again, Speed Up only really effects Sonic's basic movement. I don't recommend attempting M-speed with that skill as it actually makes it harder to use in certain locations

Oh so the basic movement only affects the regular speed sonic is going. And m speed and d speed are really there own speeds

Honestly I have always wanted to try m speed and d speed but I just haven’t tried it yet I own generations and unleashed on ps3 and I find it kinda difficult to get sonic to start walking that’s just me though

Indeed, M-speed and D-speed are pretty challenging in Generations. I'd recommend trying em out in Unleashed since the controls are much more lenient, good luck

Actually the rail coast itself doesn’t involve pressing any buttons. The trick is to land on a rail at high speed to carry that momentum while grinding

@@De_BoSsJosh Hey, we all gotta start from somewhere. There’s plenty of speedrun techniques that can be done without advanced stuff like M-speed and D-speed so just start by mastering the basics. Try learning the best routes for each stage and test out movement options to improve your records

Will you ever make a classic sonic d speed tutorial? I know it can be done, just don't know how

Classic D-speed works the same as Modern D-speed, it's easier to launch since the spindash is a bit more powerful than a boost. I don't plan on making a classic guide but there are a few tutorials out there that explain the tech pretty well

Skills help improve Sonic’s basic movement. Increased mobility in areas where speed exploits aren’t viable can save a considerable amount of time overall
