Sega did take down a streets of rage fan game in the 2010s, apparently sega was making a remake of the first game and the ordered a fan game that remade the trilogy to be removed from the internet. You can still find it tho

The amount of irony behind SRB2's modding... Like, SRB2 Kart has it's own modding community and by itself it is a mod for SRB2, SRB2 is a mod of Doom, so basically, mods of SRB2 Kart are mods for mod of mod of a game. Complicated, but cool.

What I love so much about tripple trouble 16 bit is just how close it is to feeling not just like a classic sonic game at the time but also a Mega Drive game at the time in general. Definetly often gave me vibes from Travelers Tales games at points.

Soon as I heard "It is time!" I grinned uncontrollably.

bro you insta earned my subscription because of the shot where it transitions from tails letting sonic fall into the black knight intro, that made me laugh so hard, keep up the good editing!

Sonic Dimensions is another great one. It is a mixture of Sonic Advance gameplay with boost gameplay. The demo already has 7 acts playable, and you can play as both Sonic and Shadow. it looks great and the level desigh is phenomenal. You can even buy equippable upgrades with rings. it has red rings and even a rank system.

Man, SRB2 Watching this game *grow* gives me such elation. I remember when I found it and it was a rather primitive doom modification with flat floors and only three zones Then the next update added a dozen more zones and 3D objects but the 3D objects were super janky but we didn't care because it was so cool. And it just kept having stuff added and being made better and better.

You forgot to mention That srb2 persona ALSO has an active modding community with people making custom party members, dungeons and vision quest fights. You can make crazy parties and even stranger scenarios, from the basic stuff of a party of Gorden freeman, Sora, Ralsei and olimar scaling tartarus, to mario, Doom guy, ruby rose and alex from YiiK exploring the cyber world from deltarune, to my personal favorite: having Sunny, Basil, Kris dreemurr and Neku Sakuraba fighting Roxas. (I call that party and match up " 'The I am NOT okay' club" 😅)

Sonic as a franchise basically lives off of fanmade content.

9:26 That's the Strike Dash. You get a second of complete invincibility and you can smash through stuff. I wish you gave Sonic Classic 2 a chance. The 0.9.6 build specifically. Such a great game with excellent ideas like combining shield powers. It's buggy and was never completed, but every level was finished at least. I strongly recommend Sonic Hoshi, Sonic Legends, and Sonic Aural. Absoluteoy fantastic. Man. As much as I *love* Sonic GT, what's up with the Omens hate? It just seems like it always comes down to lack of understanding of the game. Whether it's story or gameplay, someone's always missing something. Were some criticisms valid? Sure, and they were fixed in the 3.2.0 update. The final boss is the only thing I'd say was actually unfair in the first version. And the Maria boss wasn't overly edgy writing if you paid attention to it. It's an illusion you have to break free from because The Exiled was trying to control Shadow's emotions. The game is *fine* and the level design deserves way more credit than people give. They got the spirit of Sonic, understanding where you can take shortcuts by knowing the level design.

im pretty sure the hate for Omens comes from the devs trying to charge money for the fangame and the main dev of the game doing creepy stuff with Maria. People hating on Omens is justified since every other fangame dont do their game out of spite like Omens did

@@svenwesker8364 Okay, so a few things aren't quite right here. They did charge for the fan game, it was always free. Previews for upcoming builds were on Patreon for a bit until people made a stink. The patreon wasn't *for* the game. It was for their studio overall, which is making a different game. The Maria thing was done without their knowledge and then promptly removed. And I don't understand where people get the "made out of spite" thing from. Everything has been addressed in a timely manner. People never look into things. Also, none of this has to do with the game functionality.

Can someone tell me what the controversy of Sonic Omens was about? I don't get why people hate on the game?

the dev's didn't treat their staff very well and there was (allegedly) some weird stuff going on behind the scenes, I just never got into the game because of that and the gameplay just didn't grab me, it was just an excuse to do a smear campaign-esque commercial

Before the sequel is a nice game. After the sequel is hinestly unnecessary since sonic 3 start immediately after sonic 2.

Im a pokemon fan, im used to being disapointed
