This shift to Tails’ POV is really nice. Not only does it give us a look into how things happened from his perspective… but it also shows us a bit of a deeper layer into Sonic’s story- before the game even starts.

@@SakuSayaa I mean to be fair he did Nerf exe while simultaneously buffing everyone else. Exe in the other games isn’t meant to be sonic only taking his appearance to lure in the unfortunate people who cross his path that’s how he got tails. And once you’re encountering him, you play by his rules because as it usually goes, it’s his game but the problem with that game is that it was rigged from the start because no matter what you do in the end it always leads you back to him and he means death. Whether you call it unnecessary or edgy it still remains consistent whether the creator of this video intends to continue this trend we just have to wait and see..

1:42 I really like how tails fights here. Sonic (and probably sonic.exe aswell) is faster than tails, so the way tails dodges his attacks are probably predictions based on what he sees, because while tails isn’t as fast he isn’t slow enough to just get blitzed. So tails sees the motions sonic.exe makes and dodges based on predictions. I also like tails’s quick thinking, trying to keep his distance as much as he can, stomping the ground to force sonic.exe to back off, before either clashing with sonic.exe’s dash to knock him back or just knocking him back with a strong attack (can’t tell). Tails could either be trying to keep a distance to study exe’s fighting style, or just to have more time to react to his moves, or maybe trying to find an opening to escape. And the way tails shoots at sonic.exe at the end of the encounter tails knows sonic.exe is fast enough to dodge the bullets, so he outsmarts exe by making all the bullets return and hit exe all at once. Amazing fight! I really like how this contrasts with knuckles’s extremely close quarters boxer-like fighting style and metal sonic’s speeds moves which seem to be trying to blitz exe. It also contrasts with them how tails isn’t trying to beat exe but escape instead since he knows he would have a better chance beating exe if he retreats and has time to think about the encounter and recollect since he was put on the spot against a sort of unfamiliar threat

I love how Tails actually may have survived but its likely that he didnt, but it actually would make sense for him to have lived, because it actually changes one key thing about what we thought was Tails's death: the blood splatter we thought was tails way way back, was likely Exes blood after the first blast, we could see Sonic himself for a moment and that moment seems to be when Exe was holding Tails just like when Sonic got close to Tails early on, the blood explosion that we thought was tails was Exe trying to play off the wound as Tails's death Also I love how Eggman is just outplaying Exe here with his newfound knowlege of Exe beig an overall amateur in actual combat experience which is why Knuckles and Metal can whoop him at times, he may possess Sonics strength (and maybe more) but he doesnt know how to properly use it

I mean think about it for one second, all that bloodshed that was supposedly tails, it was in Sonic's point of view. Meaning it was most likely Sonic's subconscious mind filled with illusions of what he sees. Whether he's in control or not.

Game lore we talking now Eh? Eggman, tails, and knuckles are on spot. Eggman with his intelligence, tails with his smarts, and knuckles with his punches.

I think the thing that makes retribution X stand out to me is his tendency to mimic other EXEs. For example: EYX - glitching Starved!Sonic - "We haven't seen a Flicky in miles!" EXE - The smile OMT - The flesh sounds and cracking 2011Sonic - His reveal state X (2011) - He mimics his face at 1:19 Xenophanes - The extra sonic in his mouth Exetior - Regeneration Ashura - Idk but that birdview running animation is reminding me of a Sonic 2 animation with Ashura in it. Nazo (Jehtt) "Don't tell me this is the best you got" (at least I think he says that in the actual thing) Zalgo - The Sonic 2 Master System footage reminds me of that. Scorched - "I AM NOT" (Somewhat reminds me of Scorched's "I WILL NOT BE REPLACED") I really think that's how X is unique and how Maple can fit multiple exes in one singular exe, with Retribution X fitting them all in himself, including Sonic I think that Blast X took to the face may have opened up the path Sonic had to run through in episode 1.
