@@sans-mi8op In Shadow’s title game which was the origin of the move, Shadow relies on his own innate chaos power by using his pent up negative energy. Gameplay wise it happens after Shadow has killed enough light side enemies and filled up the dark gauge. Shadow can use the move in the opening act before even getting his first emerald. Probably because when Gerald created Shadow he gave him innate chaos abilities. The chaos emeralds do increase the power of the blast but they aren’t necessary. So Yes he does use Chaos energy to use it but there is a complete difference between the energy of a move and the actual move. Next you’ll say something like Goku’s kioken is just ki.

I love that the finger didn't even try with Shadow, it knew that wouldn't end well. So why it then went for Amy is just asking for broken bones.

My head canon for possible dialogue here: Sonic: “Wh- Hey! Don’t poke me! I said stop it.” **Shadow narrows his eyes at Sonic. Probably both annoyed at the hand for being annoying and Sonic for entertaining said annoyance when he could just move out of the way. Shadow decides that if Sonic won’t move, he’ll just have to do it for him** **Sonic gets punched** _music stops_ Sonic: “What was that for!?” Shadow: “hmph.” **stares at the hand** “Do that to me, and *_you’re next_* .”
