This mod is an acid trip because there are lots of times you forget this is actually SA1 until you see tails popping out back the team did an amazing job

I know this comment is a bit old, but SA1 sonic looks to be going the same speed of SA2 sonic. The completion times for the levels are about average for SA1 sonic in SA2 levels.

I'm surprised at how many of sa2's mechanics work, and how well they do work.

Sure SA2 levels in SA1 are cool, but one of the most exciting things is that Eggman has subtitles in Crazy Gadget

Can't wait for seeing Final Rush and Cannon's Core

the biggest takeaway from this mod, is that SA1's gameplay works really well once you remove the camera movement

I was deeply excited to see this video go up. Truly one of the greatest mods I have ever seen, as it explores possibilities behind the engine the Adventure games were based on.

That's awesome! If someone showed me this and said, "We've just leaked an early build of SA2! I'd believe you if you showed me this. What's more, they didn't use SA1's gimmicks to recreate SA2's stages, they used SA1's game engine to create SA2's specific gimmicks. I don't know how compatible SA1 and SA2 are, but it must have taken an unimaginable amount of work...

Jesus most of these stages look like near-exact replicas of the original stages, even down to the stage gimmicks like the rocket in Metal Harbor.

I love the additional voice lines , were those unused in Sa2? I never heard them before. I thought heard everything.

Most of them are idle dialogue, like the Crazy Gadget and Green Forest ones. There is few exception like City Escape which was originally used during a recap.

Sonic adventure 2 Battle is a Fantastic classic Sonic game 2001 was a Great year for Sonic!!!!!! It was the best Year!

Don't think it's arguable really... The somersault and turning speed in SA2 is borderline unforgivable. Seriously looking forward to playing this so I can finally appreciate SA2 again like I did as a kid.
