Sonic Adventure 2 - City Escape Speedrun

Going back to the roots of my channel with a speedrun of City Escape. No glitches, no fancy shortcuts, not even flawless. Just a fun run of one of the greatest Sonic levels.
A speedrun of City Escape was the first video I uploaded to KZread back in 2007. I had nothing but a cell phone pointed at a tube TV. Thankfully the equipment has greatly improved since then and thanks to the VGA converter and SC512DVI I can present this super clean now.

Me and my friends used to replay this stage over and over again in both Single player and Multiplayer mode just for fun and trying to outdo each other Time completions... Good old days... They need to remake a Sonic Generations 2 with every other Stages and a Multiplayer Co-op similar to Sonic 2 & 3 and Adventure 1 with Sonic and Tails and a Multiplayer VS. like in Sonic adventure 2 and Sonic 2 & 3

Sega did such a great job bringing Sonic into 3D with SA 1 and 2.
WHEN WE CARED ABOUT POINTS
I like to see fresh speed runs of this stage. Fresh as in clean save so no items to help progress. No light speed dash, no bounce, or any other bonus stuff you get from progressing in the game.

I remember playing this stage religiously. I kept trying to outspeed my old times and dont quote me but i want to say my fastest time was around 2 minutes 9 seconds.

The Dreamcast version looks like some sort of Pre Alpha Demo compared to GameCube, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

It's actually the opposite. The Battle and DX ports have some of the most horrid lighting in any Sonic game.

It's pretty hard to time them. You need some really good muscle memory.

+Kaito .Link Yeah, this isn't Sonic Unleashed. Speed alone won't get you an A rank here. Need to make a good amount of points by collecting rings, performing tricks and defeating enemies wich requires taking longer routes.

Was this recorded with the SC512N1-L/DVI? If not, are any of your videos post SC512N1-L/DVI review recorded with the SC512N1-L/DVI? I'm just very impressed with this video quality and I hope you are recording with the SC512N1-L/DVI! :)

I've been using it on every video that has footage from consoles since the review and I still am. So yes, what yo see here has been captured with the Micomsoft card.

BlueMue Thanks that is awesome! This quality is amazing! Last question, there seems to be alot of different programs and settings you can use to record with the SC-512. Would you mind please telling me your setup and settings please? Thank you BlueMue!
This is what the whole game should have been. No Shadow the Hedgehog, no lame-ass dark plot, just a game with Sonic running around living in dangerous situations. To be honest, I like Eggman/Robotnik more than Sonic.

If you dislike the theme of multiple playable characters this much, just play Sonic Generations and/or Sonic Colors.
