Sonic 3 A.I.R: Modern Edition (aka. Modern Sonic S3&K Style) is a Mod Pack created by PatrickBravo2002.

The sprites in this mod are based on the original sprites from Sonic 3 Complete and Cooler Sonic. It has new features such as a new HUD and new colour palettes (choose between S3&K, Unleashed/Generations, and CGI Cutscenes).
V5 brings in additions to the pack such as a new title screen, changes to Dr. Eggman, new moveset compatability option, new signposts, Unleashed jump option, and even an option to have some SFX for Sonic (ENG or JP).
In addition to the main featured Mod Pack, it is recommended to try this out with 3D in 2D Shadow Moveset. This mod enables Shadow's Moveset from Sonic 3D in 2D and his 3 air Mod for the Slot 0 of the game (Sonic's slot).
Moveset & abilities are as follows:

• Stomp
• Homing Attack
• Air-Dash
• Wall Latch

Few things to note here.
I wanted to slightly change things up a bit here, so I changed the option for special stages to be randomly generated.
When entering the third giant ring in Mushroom Hill Zone, I accidentally failed one of the special stages (which was expected), so I skipped that part only to get it right the next attempt afterwards.

I love this mod, not only does this give me an idea for 2D Sonic Unleashed, but also showed me how adventure and boost gameplay can be meshed together. Boost can be used for areas you need for momentum which you can't gain.
Sonic cd is kind of the beginning of Modern sonic because 1. Sonic was talking 2. When he does super peelout he puts his arm like that 3. In the special stages you can kind of move where ever you like

Another awesome Modern Sonic mod that is now based on Unleashed. I love how this time the mod makes Sonic's boosting have more push force when it comes to the steep platforms. It's overall an awesome mod because his sprites match his personality more on the game. These incremental developments are really doing well. Amazing longplay bro!
It's cool...but he yells WOOO!!! Like every three seconds. I love it.
This makes the Modern Era turn into the 90s era.

This is a impressive mod and I like how classic and modern sonic look plus the music is outstanding!
That pink burner miniboss was actually pretty interesting that's how u mix it up Yas ! Whooo
I love the music they used for Carnival Night. Feels more like Vegas than Casino Night.
I like this, but i think most of the music choices are kinda questionable and the jump animation could be better. Out of that, good mod 👍

Totes agree his spin is huge it's supposed to be spiky but .......
The biggest feat in the franchise nuckles one shooting super sonic and taking the emeralds at the start of the game.

How do you activate the title screen sprites and the signposts sprites
Ball form could have most certainly done without the “WHOO!” Which played every time. It also played every time the sound file was used, so it became old fast.
The only problem I had with date select sprites, in file there wasn't a mod. JSON, so I get copy mod json from mod, and there's still no data select sprites modern.....maybe i do something wrong? Idk

This seems like one of those hacks I'd play for a few minutes just to check out the novelty of it and then I'd never want to touch it again (because S3K is my favoritest specialest more perfectest game of all time)

You'll need the Sonic 3/S&K Title Screen Sprite Support Mod, and then add that underneath the Modern Sonic title screen mod.
