Awesome man. I got my Novation Circuit exactly a week ago and was already basically doing this...but the few things that I hadn't thought of yet are definitely going to be a game changer for my music! I definitely appreciate what you've figured out. Thanks for sharing

Is there a way to loop a guitar and jam with the circuit in sync?

Knospi yes I have used pigtronix infinity looper for this. Just research the best gear that synchs best with midi clock

Not have my circuit yet, but should it not be possible to have 32 patterns per instrument now?

  • @RonCavagnaro

@@webosm6494 no. If you want something more advanced I would recommend the deluge which has no limit on track length ;)

@@RonCavagnaro I thought I read it was 32, but indeed there are only eight. It is however possible to chain 32 patterns, that was in update 1.7. I misunderstood that part first. Together with un quantized it will give lots of room to play with. And hoping on session chaining, that would make it even better.

How is this better than working in a DAW?

It being tactile is way better than using a mouse to put notes in. I have a hybrid setup so I'm not using one or the other. I never claimed it's better or worse but I love my circuit that's for sure! I use Tracktion waveform as the daw and it's useful in routing and fx.
