I just saw him live in Austin, his set was mainly his unreleased music and i was pretty much the only one going word for word with him. he played this song and it hit me so hard, more need to listen to his unreleased stuff

His set list yesterday, was a lot of covers. Like 7 out of the 11 songs were covers. I was there as well. Amazing set, his set and Isbell's were the two best of the 10 hours.

Man, you need to react to Uncle Tupelo, the band that spawned Son Volt and Wilco. The high wattage songwriting and playing of Jay Farrar and Jeff Tweedy was electric in their youth. Son Volt and Wilco are both great, but even Uncle Tupelo’s slow songs had urgency.

I definitely recommend the new Nolan Taylor- Wicked Games Truthful Sessions, right up your alley.
