First :) Edit: it's actually very interesting to see BTS change their usual style. Like, they usually go for the hip-hop style. (i.e mic drop, fake love, DNA, etc.) But for this one, they went completely for the happy vibe style (sorry if I didn't make sense I was only trying to sound professional like you, Joel 😅😅)

As a straight guy there certainly the closest I've been too attracted to in men, but there so artificial it's kinda just creepy

Sad fact: They had to film it indoors and add a lot of CG backgrounds because when they scheduled for the music video shooting, Korea was having a hell of rain and flood for a very long period of time. So they had to cancel all the outdoor shootings. Yet, they made the vid so sunny and happy, I am more than glad to see it done well.

It seems like a stylistic thing that a lot of Korean groups just kinda go for too. If not the CG, then the over-saturation of colors. I think it's pretty charming. I know Moon Byul's "Selfish" video has boatloads of saturated colors, as does G-Dragon's "Crayon" and Sistar's "Shake It," and BTS's "DNA." (tons of others too!) When was this video shot, anyway? It definitely reeks of that sunny-cheery charm.

Jimin is my bias and bias wrecker at the same time, ever since i first found out about bts until the day i die. I love his voice it’s so angelic and unique, and he’s so pretty and just overall perfection

I keep re-watching your BTS reactions, praying for you to make more. I do really prefer your reactions because I can relax knowing you'll be honest. As an Army, I do prefer you being honest than just fake a reaction to please the fans. And even though you don't like something, you're still not mean and hurtful about it in a way. You have your reasons for not liking something, and I'm glad you're telling us about it in a "productive" way. Like in Swedish "konstruktiv kritik". I was gonna try to see if I could find a reason for them to do it, but that turned out to be wrong. I know that not all of them actually know how to speak English (why would they? They’re a Korean band, they don’t NEED to know English). So my thought process was that maybe he was one of the ones who didn’t and they had to choose between takes where he was on key but mispronounced the words and takes where he was off key and pronounced the words properly. I checked Google just to be sure and my idea is bunk, because he is one of the ones who DOES know English… I now have no other reason why they would overdo the auto tune aside from stylistic choice.

Please do not think all armys are problematic and overreactive! every fandom has their pick of crazy fans and our just get more attention i agree they can go overboard sometimes but there are plenty of amazing and nice armys out there! I hope that this cleared some things up and i apologized on before of army about some of our crazy fans! Thank you!

ARMY HERE!! Overall, BTS don't usually make songs in English since they're often part of the writing process and only RM is confident enough in English to write in the language. They weren't involved in the writing of this song and as Roomie mentioned it was presented to them. They kept the lyrics because they liked them and also wanted to make something for their international fans. They're most likely not going to be releasing much more English music since a) they can't write it and as RM has said previously, they wouldn't want to compromise their creativeness to sell more abroad, and b) only RM is really confident in English and the other members had a hard time learning the lyrics for this song since it's in another language. They probably wouldn't be able to perform many English songs live since remembering the lyrics would be harder for them since it's more memorizing the letters rather than learning the song. (Imagine how you would feel trying to learn a song that is entirely in Korean) I'm happy so many people outside of the fandom are enjoying the song though and I love to see Roomie and other people like him reacting to and analysing BTS' music like they would any other artist, too many people don't take them seriously. Also, us ARMYs are aware of the fact that it's pretty basic, but basic doesn't mean it's bad. It was really cool when he showed the resemblance to other songs as well, I hadn't yet realized the similarities. Overall, I'm glad you all liked the song!! ✨

As an army, I actually appreciate Joel not being scared to give criticism. A lot of other reactors sometimes seem scared to criticize bts because they might get attacked by the fandom. But tbh I think the fandom needs to be less toxic and be able to take critisim like that. So thanks Joel😁 Edit: not an army anymore but this comment still stands lol

The interesting part of this song is that BTS said they weren’t looking for a hit, but after hearing this song when working on their upcoming album, they liked it a lot. So they wanted to make a happy song for Army to be able to sing along to, during these hard times

When I first heard it I just instantly I loved it bc I finally found good music to listen to all the time •w•

There’s nothing wrong with someone comfortable with their sexuality acknowledging someone being attractive regardless of gender. You can acknowledge someone as attractive without being attracted TO that person.

BTS said that this song was made to be fun and lighthearted to lift people's spirits during corona, and that you shouldn't take it too seriously and just listen to it without thinking too much or analysing for a deeper meaning :) The reason the song is in all English too is because they got this songs demo from a western writer and the liked the vibe of the song in English more than in Korean, and they wanted the song to be as global as possible to help as many people as possible. BTS have also started experimenting with autotune in the past year, almost using it as just another instrument like they did in black swan, I think it's fun and especially fits this song since it's inspired by the 70-80's, though I've seen quite a few people criticising the use of autotune too, I guess it just comes down to personal taste. I also didn't get can't stop the feeling in my head but for some reason this reminded me of bruno mars' music. Okay I'm done with my essay. I always love watching your bts videos, thank you!!

Hey thanks for this reaction, just thought I'd let you know how much BTS has changed my life, they helped me love myself and gain more self confidence with their messages and lyrics I have learned to accept me for who I am, I hope you know how humble,understanding and amazing these guys are

bts songs have been really dark and sad recently, and they had their entire tour cancelled as well as other sad things so they said they wanted to make us all feel happy. fans tend to make lots of theories so it makes sense for them to go for a pretty meaningless song in order for us to feel carefree while listening. they have produced so many songs that it doesn’t even matter that this one wasn’t self produced, i just hope people don’t use it against them because their lists of self produced songs are right there on wikipedia and they’ve shared demos :)
