Songbird Rescued from Road After Being Hit By Van

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

I wasn’t planning on filming today, however, I saw a utility van hit this cedar waxwing. His mate made it out, but he was struggling in the road on his back after being hit at 40-45mph (the van was driving way too fast).
Please ignore my on-the-fly filming and my not-film-ready appearance. 😜 When people hear stories like this, many times they ask if there’s a video. Sometimes yes, and sometimes not… because it can be difficult with an animal in one hand and a camera in another. Dr. Paul rescued my one handed tripod set up that kept falling over. 😂
After checking to see if everything felt intact and nothing felt broken, he was adjusted and also received red light therapy, as he probably had some pain and inflammation after a major trauma like that.
You’ll notice the atlas (C1) adjustment has a very profound effect on overall health and well being- complete posture and alertness change there. I deliberately waited to do that one to try and show that.
I was happy to take some time out of my day to help this little fella who seriously is “too cool for school,” with his feathered crest and black eye mask, looking like a dude with a cool hairdo and shades. 😎💙
If you’re wondering time-wise, how long I kept him in the box, post-treatment, it was about 12min. I just wanted him to have a chance for peace and quiet to gather himself and let the adjustment settle in.
