I don't think Jaeon held back this time. This guy almost never tells how he feels but here he told her he wasn't well, he was hurt she didn't wish on his birthday. Here Jaeon is one step ahead in terms of communicating than Nabi. Whenever he approached her she just pushed him away, wasn't honest and dodged the important questions. You can see he is actually in pain and missed her. His only fault was he didn't clear that he didn't have a girlfriend

I disagree. He's gets in her personal space and doesn't let up or move away when she cringes away from him so he ignores her non-verbal cues, he asks why she didn't wish him a happy birthday but they're not dating! He supposedly has a girlfriend why should she! If anything she was right not to because the best thing she did was physically get away from him for awhile. He does all these things to overwhelm her and makes her look like the bad guy for wanting space.

@@sushilsharma4202 it's no glamorous or special at all, I never said that. But you can definitely go through a relationship where you want things to work so badly that you end up accepting a lot. Feeling deeply in love with someone that doesn't feel the same way but YOU DO so you want things to last as much as you can even tho you're getting hurt. Anyways, as I already said, if you haven't been through it, you'll just think she's stupid or have no self respect and stuff like that but I dont think is the case, she's stuck and it's hard to move on, specifically when the other person doesn't make it any easy. You could say "oh the other man is waaay better" but, come on, we cant force ourselves to feel love, passion, and tenderness to someone that doesn't wake up feelings like this. U f_ckin know it's not good for you but you are in love, confused, burned out, you want that persons love not any other.

I can understand and it's worst you want things to work out even after you know that they won't or that the person you love isn't gonna change yet you have this little hope that they will change and end up falling for them again and again cause you truly love that person😔 I've went through it all been heartbroken twice but i guess it's all for good you eventually understand that it isn't for you and move on😄

I’m not gonna lie this is the most accurate and realistic kdrama I’ve seen, this generation is full of people having their walls up and in constant defence mode not really trying to show emotions. I feel na-bis frustration heavy! I hope Jae-eon shows more emotion towards her in the end man

I am going to give Jaeon credit for continuously trying to communicate and convey his feelings through out the episode even though it may have been hard cause Nabi wasn't being honest and for his character which is so reserved and almost never tells what he feels. Boy even knelt down before her to show he meant what he said. The only thing he didn't say directly was he didn't have a girlfriend :(

I don't know why people are saying Jaeon isn't being genuine. He always draws lines and hides his emotions behind that smile but here you can see that he is trying to convey his feelings and communicate. We can clearly see and feel the pain, longing in his eyes ,his voice and how he missed her. He even knelt down to show that he truly meant it.

2 years later I’m still watching this series repeatedly on Netflix. I lost count of how many times I’ve watched this series over n over n over. These two are my fav couple. So sad Song Kang will be enlisting next year 😢

They need to admit their feelings and try to communicate more. Sometimes touching could convey their feelings beetter than word, but for this couple communicating in words must be better than touching at this point.

Im just amazed to found out they shot the scene on a single gondola and not on an actual ferris wheel ride. Good job to the editors. 👍🏻👏🏻

She’s a very versatile actress. I just watched her in My Name and now this. Amazing

This scene gave me butterflies. The chemistry, tension, angst and the longing for each other can be felt. When Jaeon knelt in front of her to make an eye contact, you can clearly see the pain in his eyes, voice and how he missed her. When he said "Do you hate me that much??" it broke my heart, these two like each other so much but the miscommunication drifts them apart it is sad.

JE has expressed more than Nabi has at this point.

When Jae eon kneel down, I SCREAMED!!!

His wanting Nabi to wish him a happy birthday is very heartfelt. It means he really wanted to be with her on that day.

Well i think he's unable to express his feelings correctly by words that's why his eyes show too much emotions ...he can't say what he's supposed to say, he can't commit by words.. but how he looks at her tells a lot that he wants her. The loneliness in which he's living made him like that...he's absolutely not a perfect* guy but also not a bad* one . At last when Nabi confronts him after seeing his sketch of her , the way his emotions showed up , the tears ..... That was enough for Nabi to believe that he actually likes her.

I love to see how they express their feelings of longing for each other through their eyes during the whole episode. I feel suffocated 😀

SPOLIER: Well based on the web toon, they actually don’t get together and Nabi lives happy, which i liked since it’s very realistic on how real relationships like this can affect you and fuckboys can’t just be like Jaeon and develop into a good person. Not everything is gonna be a happy ending for the leads, and I’m hoping this dramas stays with the webtoons plot but based on where this is going, the director might make them be together in the end. Shows like this is what makes people (like me before lmao) romantize the “fuck/bad boy” kind of plot and it’s toxic.

If I were you, I won't be so sure about Korean drama editors. We should still got at least 3 episodes to go, they may still have something up their sleeves.....whether webtoon ending(good guy has the last laugh) or suddenly matured J (bad guy redeemed himself and won all)..remains to be seen. Just like Love Alarm.... unexpected ending. Well, just enjoy the rollercoaster....for me, potato just got no place in Nabi heart....it may sound cruel but ...ignored his call and continued to kiss J in episode 7 already sealed Potato fate ..

I think Park Jae-eon in this scene is very sincere, he's telling Na-bi how he felt when she didn't call him to say Happy Birthday, I mean he was there for her on her birthday, he even bought her a birthday present and yeah sure he left her hanging towards the end of her birthday but I think at least he made more of an effort to make her day special. So I can see how he would feel hurt because she didn't do the same for him. I know she was miffed at him because his ex-girlfriend said that they got back together but he just found out about that and probably didn't want to mention it to Na-bi just yet. I think this scene is not about Park Jae-eon telling Na-bi about his ex-girlfriend lying to her and him but it was about telling her he felt hurt that she didn't wish him a happy birthday.

if u see properly in previous episode ... when some one comes to hit jaeon and nabi gets injured while trying to defend jaeon .... u could see that love in his eyes for nabi , he throws his hands at that guy as he couldn't stand nabi getting hurt .. and i think jaeon is having some kind of trauma to be that way ... and that's why he had trust/commitment issues .. but this time he really loved her which he himself didn't know ...

When he kneeled I felt 1000 butterflies in my stomach 🤣

Tbh this drama makes many fans’ blood boil because it’s so toxic. But the ones that have been in a similar situation, like myself, understand Na bi’s pov. And when I say I’ve been in a similar situation, I mean close to exactly the same thing lol. Na bi is not dumb, ignorant, or even just plain stupid. She is unluckily trapped in a complex love. That sounded so cheesy, ew. Anyway, she lets him come back because even though she knows the outcome, she has just enough faith to believe she can change him, because that’s how powerful her love is for him. And this is the reason why I stan Han so hee. I mean the way she portrays the character is just perfectly executed, same with Song Kang. As for Jae on I can’t tell you much other than the fact that he has trouble opening up to people, so that’s why he acts the way he does. He doesn’t want close relationships because he has trust issues. With Na bi he is learning how to love, and though it doesn’t show, because the drama ends too fast, he begins to show hope of feeling loved again. But in the other side, he is broken and doesn’t want to risk it. Severe trauma that boy has had, omg. So we got to complex characters who feel attracted to each other by the fact that they have what the other needs. We get to see their characters developing by seeing her want to fight for someone she thinks is worth it and him showing hope and wanting to open up. This drama is deep, and it has so many layers that I wish we could see more of uncover. Some of you guys see it as plain sexual attraction and toxicity. But it’s so much more to that and I wish you could see it on a different perspective, because the actors deliver the message in such a unique way, which doesn’t happen often, that it’s hard to see you guys not see the bigger picture. This was too long, if you read the whole thing, thanks, and I hope I changed your mind or at least understand my pov.

At this point Jae Eon is trying to express how he feels.. however he is held back. It could've been the perfect time to clear the misunderstanding including Sol A which bothers Nabi a lot. Nevertheless before episode 7 ended, Jae Eon confessed to Nabi that he truly missed her. Eyes don't lie. We can see his sincerity. Lets just wait and see in the coming episodes.

Can Netflix work on QA for subs? The subs for this episode were kind of messy and there were incorrect translations that make quite a bit of difference. Specifically, the ending scene with Nabi and Jae Eon. He doesn't say "that's not the issue" but asks "Is that the issue?' and Nabi doesn't say "I never ran away" but "Who says I'm running away?" Him asking if that's the issue is a hugeeeeeee difference than him just saying that's not the issue. Even in this video, there was some phrases missing...albeit not as important. She says "You could have just told me instead. You startled me"

Yesss...thanks for these clarifications. I don't speak Korean...but even I've noticed some English words were incorrectly used in a couple of the subtitles in a couple of the previous episodes. What you are stating makes a huge difference in the meaning of the dialogues. Thank you😊.

*park jaeon of the webtoon* ≠* park jaeon of the drama* , neverthless Stop emphasising so much on the ending alone, the beginning, the character development and the light in which his park jaeon is portrayed is entirely different to each other which will make the difference. So can we stop confusing between both The webtoon had to end on a tragic note, *that's how it was set up* while the drama will end on a good note, hence *those small details matters to figure out which jaeon is toxic and which one isn't* . Both possibilities exists but in different scenarios with different character development. And the difference was made for a reason, no ?

Yes Saturday the weekend i cant wait episode 8 nevertheless forever the drama chemistry on the next level love potatos man yunabi forever and ever 🦋❤️✨

Hes processing his feelings what he feels for Na bi is true love but hes so used to being a player its something new hes decovering so hes going true all different emotions that he needs to sought out. In this scene him kneeling is like apologizing to Na bi hes trying to open up to her but her stubbornness is preventing her from also being open about her feelings for him. 2 of them needed to just b open n honest with each other. The other girl was able to swoop into Jae eon bcuz Na bi doesn't want her friends to kno how close they really are so instead of claiming her man she just continues to look like a lost soul

these people praise men who do the bare minimum and that’s why most of y’all have been or still in a toxic ass relationship. jae-eon doesn’t deserve na-bi. this relationship is purely built on physical attraction and romanization of toxicity in relationships. i honestly think na-bi should be single and focus on her life more than men. na-bi is also toxic in a way. she ignores or avoids the obvious red flags bc she is in “love”. if they continue this, na-bi will end up more hurt than she was before. i literally hate this ship with all of my heart. potato boy deserves someone better than na-bi at this point. also what blew my mind was when she was jealous when his cousin came, but she still has “feelings” for jae-eon. y’all only like jae-eon bc he is good-looking and it shows. if he wasn’t attractive to viewers then y’all will hate this relationship. for the people who thinks he is “changing”, he is trying to manipulate her to cater to his own benefits. men barely ever change for the better. whoever ships this toxic ass relationship needs a reality check.

I really hate that she didn’t send even the simplest of messages when he went out his way to make hers an actually happy birthday. Didn’t she also have a lot of people to send her wishes? She could have ever sent the message via Bit-ta if she was afraid she would relapse if she talked to him directly. The way he waited for her message🤦‍♀️🙄

I have ever been dated someone who behave like Jae-on ,im keep patient and sometimes pretending blind and hope he would be a better person and choose only me…left others that he plays as just the past This conversation made me flashback and good I turn back to him Sometime its tased very sweet but I think we all need just plain Water for living

I haven't started watching this...is this series heart wrenching? I have to prepare my inner self if it is lol

Not really heart wrenching but it is really good! The characters and the storyline are quite different from a typical k-drama, I personally like the direction and OST of Nevertheless. Give it a watch if you wanna, you won't be disappointed

I'm too afraid to start watching this drama bc of the heartbreak (like i get second lead syndrome so much) but Song Kang who here as main lead--HIS EYES SAID IT ALL 😳 Like you could read it as so many things, desperation, heartbreak, yearning, etc. Like, Idk if his character is my cup of tea but I really wanna become a fan lol

They should end together.😭 please Don't apart them.😭❣️❣️

Whys he always tryna touch her though like u can talk from where u were sitting too lol. Idk everyone is like omg jaeon is being sincere now and shit but idk hes always just wanting to be physical and shit with nabi and he knows that thats her weakness. Hes also still not saying anything about seol-a which idk why no one is talking about. People dont change this quickly, its literally impossible😐

Yunabi should listen to what his been saying but she dont want to hear it because he hate him much because that friend of parkjeon says they are couple and its not true that girl is just an obstacle and yunabi believed it easily thats the foolish thing she ever done how could she listen to her she never ever met her just because of the gossips .when a man said he dont have a gf and its true because if its not hell never ever met yunabi in places that actually many people would see them also yunabi says shes the one says that she dont like people that their had something going on serious relationship i remember that in episode 4 .if a guy doesnt like you hell forget you once he get what he wants its absolutely finish. But parkjeon keeps on loving her and his not afraid what will happen. I think love come in so many ways. He always saves her from the begginng thats why i like parkjeon coz if his that bad hell never ever bother her just a waste of tym. Because man will do anything through his power just not to loose her if he met the one.
