Not Texas in my Rearview. The song is Lubbock in my Rearview Mirror. He's from my hometown. When I moved away, that song came on the radio and I liked in the rearview to see the Lubbock city limit sign.

🤣🤣🤣 " this song is about me" 🤣🤣🤣 this IS an absolutely hilarious song. Oldie but goodie and enjoyable to just laugh a bit.

I almost forgot Ashley McBryde who is a bad ass has amazing songs. Girl going nowhere live at the Opry is incredible her song Bible and a 44 is great too. Most stuff she sings about it’s just phenomenal.

Mac Davis is awesome and really was the perfect song writer. He also wrote In The Ghetto, which was sang by Elvis. Just one of the many he wrote.

This is SO Keith’s song! I love it! I’ve loved every reaction and review, but this was the best! LOL 😂

@@BourbonCountryReacts trust me when I say it’s a compliment! My Daddy used to sing this. I lost him over 40 years ago to heart attack. He was only 47. This brought back wonderful memories of him belting out this tune! He was a small guy (5’6” and 120 lbs if you soaked him good), but he had a beautiful deep baritone voice. This was one he would sing out! We always said it was his song! And he was truly a humble, kind man. So it was all in jest. Just like with you Keith. You strike me as a quiet, kind and humble man, but don’t piss you off! Just like Daddy. Love you both, love your channel! Keep up the good work! ❤️🙏😇

Well I just left my butt off. This was hilarious not just the song and oak dear God not just the paint thinner. But y'all's reactions were priceless. Mac Davis was from Lubbock Texas and he was a prolific and great songwriter but he also had a Texan sense of humor and did get rather funny and occasionally. I remember the look on my mama's face the first of the time this played on the radio and then I remembered her bending over and laughing so hard that I think she came close to breaking a rib and brought back some good memories guys.

This vid took 4 days to hit my notifications but maaate, it was worth it... you pair crack me up, you def need to do more of these types of songs...this was the best laugh I've had in yonks...my ribs are still canin'... I remember when this song came out, we thought it was perfect for the ol' girl's boyfriend who was a bit of a... well let's just say HE thought he was a bit of a good sort... I mean he wasn't a bad bloke, it's just us kids thought he was a giraffe... y'know, a little bit goes a loooong way... I recently heard this for the 1st time on country radio and I thought it was a Rodney Carrington song lol. I was raised on OG country I must of missed this one as a kid or my parents dropped the ball. I only vaguely remember hearing Mac Davis name a few times. Your reaction is priceless 🤣 I was laughing so hard. Yes this definitely the perfect song for Keith! A little disappointed I tried to find that "paint thinner" where I live was going get my husband to try it when he watches this and I can't get it here.

Mac is as crazy, but man he's got amazing stuff. Great actor. He was in "Noth Dallas 40" with Nick Nolte. Dandy Don Meredith, Bo Svenson, Charles Durning WFL player Tommy Reamon, Raider John Mantuszak. Many other players. 2 players blackballed from NFL Tom Fears, and Fred Biletnikoff because they leant them their insight off the BS player dealt with ( Playing at all costs weather they were hurt or not, and basically treated like a side of beef instead of a human). Good movie

RIP Mac Davis died in 2020 at the age of 78.

Y'all should really do Still In Saigon by The Charlie Daniels Band. Especially with Keith's background and the rock feel that the instruments have, it's a great song and I think you will both dig it.
