Rhapsody (of Fire), Twilightning, Dragonforce, Edguy / Avantasia, Labirinth, Freedom Call and several other pretty good bands were top in that period... Great times

I just can not get enough of this song. I probably listened to this song dozens of times. I also love the message it conveys. 😊 Very meaningful song. Once someone finds that "perfect" person. Your angel, your true love. Make sure you treat them well and never let them go! Another message I got from the lyrics: Never wait to express feelings! One should always express their emotions no matter how foolish or impossible it may seem. You never know. The other person may feel the exact same way! It would be a shame that an amazing love would go to waste because of a lack of communication and fear. Beautiful song 🥰

Lovely rendition of this song! I'm worried after listening to a podcast that you made in which you said that you are worried about your vocals. My daughter showed me a video of a retired singer where he tried to sing a former hitsong, when he was still young like you, it seems that he was out of breath and his vocals was very poor😢. Look after yourself please? You are, in my books the very best singer!! You are blessed and talented , a perfectionist in everything you do! Dan is very careful with is voice. No smoking, drinking and no sugar. He does vocal exercises before and 24 hrs before no talking. Glad you enjoyed. Welcome to the Vascnation!

Wow your enunciation is a lot better than Tony's was when they recorded Silence, I really admire that, Tony was insane on those early albums in terms of singing skill but it can be kind of hard to understand the lyrics some times, you nail it though!

I know they're long as hell, but I'd love to see you do "White Pearl, Black Ocean" or "The Boy Who Wanted to be a Real Puppet". Or, if you're feeling ballad-y, "Tallulah" or "Shamandalie" would also be magnificent.

eu acho que o Sonata morreu a partir do UNIA... depois disso virou uma banda lixo com musicas ridiculas sem alma alguma... saindo o guitarrista já era a banda... agora ela se tornou insuportável de ouvir.. se eu fosse da banda fugiria de vergonha, se eu pudesse falar com o vocalista iria falar pra ele acordar pra vida e mudar o nome da banda pra não cagar mais ainda ou sair da banda pq ele tornou ela um lixo

Honestly Dan, Sonata Arctica is one of my favourite power metal band and San Sebastian is for sure my favorite song of all time. I couldn't imagine someday someone will make a cover of this song that i will enjoy. Watching this video i was singing, headbanging and saying to myself "i know this guy is good but this cover is a proof he's the best singer for power metal cover" Goosebump and smile after i wish you all the best and keep your awesome work going on !

I am not sure if everyone can understand how CRAZY DIFFICULT this song is. You almost have literally no time at all to breathe. Take a look at the end of verse and start of bridge. You end this verse climbing above high C singing group of long high notes (how could I turn my back on her the sweetest thing alive ) and then you have only time for super short breath..maybe half of a second..and bridge (I was eager) that still lies above passaggio. Can anyone find Tony Kakko singing this in original key, live, in one take without editing?. I've never seen this. You are ONE OF THE BEST SINGERS IN THE WORLD Dan. I'am not kidding. Even if you used few takes - you are super awesome. Man - this song is difficult.

This song is crazy difficult. It could be easily one of the hardest songs to sing in rock and metal. It has so many sustained notes and phrases, no time to breath, crazy range. If you don't have crazy good technique, singing that "i was eager" part after the highs will get you KO, with burning sensation on your throat and unable to sing above the pasaggio for much longer hahah and if you keep at it by sheer will power you wont even be able to modulate later in the song, lol.

Wolf and raven are the best song sonata ever made , and ALOT more of a challenge . Also Painkiller ,Ram it down , Heavy metal with Judas priest .Stratovarius have alot of good songs alot like hunting high and low and my favorite PARADISE.
