Yes, that’s why it’s not really correct when someone judge this one as an “ordinary” or “boring” rountine, since this was years ago i guess. It’s just the difficulty has increase with strong and young gymnasts like Averina twins

Incredible talent and skill!

Never heard of or seen this sport before today, but it looks amazing. These athletes are so flexible and look magical along with the ribbon. I am a figure skater myself and am just amazed by their spins or I guess you would call them turns. Regardless of terminology, what a beautiful sport!

Lol the way the announcer pronounces Yeon Jae as "YEE-YON JAY" *facepalm* She did such an amazing job!!

@@anishikhabora5747 in korean yeon would be pronounced as a single syllable rather than "yee-on", the best i could describe how it would sound properly is more like "yuhn" with a short uh sound

I did it for 6 years, loved every second of it until I got an ankle injury and I had no choice but to stop. But despite the years that I’d trained, I still managed to get caught in my ribbon from time to time - so you’re certainly not alone in that, it happens. 😂

Son was amazing, and her fouettés are iconic, but she never did better than her clubs 2011 in Montpellier. God, she was amazing. The big orchestra music was always perfect with her. She just had that very classic and enjoyable feel, especially in London. She sadly faded a bit in the background after that competition.
