Not let non-Punjabi fool you: 1) Simranjeet Singh Maan won election on the name of Khalistan in Punjab and become Member of parliament. 2) Amritpal Singh raised his voice for Khalistan and million people joined him in rallies in Punjab. 3) Every years thousand of Sikhs chants slogan on June 6 for Sikh independence. 4) Wherever Sikhs lives they are organizing referendum for their independence. 5) Sarbat Khalsa (meeting where all Sikh leaders(jathedars) gather) passed resolution for Sikhs in Golden temple to fight until we achieved Khalistan.

Taxation and laws are necessary to have a functioning state, but fairly distributed taxation is something we could all benefit from. Moreover, during the Trump administration ANTIFA were seen by some within the US government as terrorists, but that didnt result in Canada branding them as such. It is more of a complicated matter than just a good vs evil dichotomy. Bombing civilian planes is morally wrong, but so is drifting towards a Hindu ultranationalist state with regular attacks on minorities and women. Every state has its own issues and struggles, but how long has Modi or Erdogan been in power? Both designate those who disagree with them, even on peaceful grounds as terrorists and agitators.

What's a canadian?

Speaking as one (who grew up in a small Canadian town), people of Indian descent who came to Canada, but who aren't Punjabi, are increasingly seeing the issues that caused them to immigrate coming here - that should be part of this story. Activism for a change in India should be done in India, while people coming to Canada for a better life should invest themselves into that.

India begged and pleaded Canada to increase security for its Air India Plane back in 1985. Canada dismissed it. 330 indo-canadians died when a bomb went off on an Air India plane from taking off from Canada. 38 years later, even to this day the guilty have not been brought to justice. So, Canadian incompetence towards India's concerns are nothing new. If Canada doesnt act, India has to right to protect itself and its people.

As an Indian i am deeply concerned with Canada's treatment of its striking truck drivers. Also canda should return the country to the First Nations. Very sad to see Canadian treat its first nations like this 😂
