Officers son is a class act.

What a tragedy. 2 boys that had a hard start at life get adopted by loving parents & then lose their father to a drunk driver. I hope the police dept supports those boys & helps any way they can.

26-year-old Dylan Molina was sentenced on Monday for the Lake Worth crash that killed off-duty police detective Alex Cervantes. Molina pleaded guilty to all charges. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for intoxication manslaughter for the death of Detective Cervantes and 10 years each for intoxication assault in connection to the injuries to the officer's wife and two children. He also pleaded guilty to 6 months in jail for another DWI. The sentences for the charges will be served concurrently.

No that wouldn’t work. Do you think that nobody drank alcohol during prohibition? They did - they drank moonshine which is usually far stronger and can be extremely dangerous. People need to just be responsible enough to drink any drive. If I drink I never drive anywhere - why is that so hard? Why does that require the banning of alcohol for those who don’t act this way?

I feel bad for everyone involved... Even the son said he looks like a good guy, amd wouldn't do something like that. He's probably going through a lot in life, and chose alcohol to lean on, and started leaning a little too much on it. I myself am going through a lot, and lean on alcohol a little. But im not addicted. I can honestly say, ive never been drunk, though i have been buzzed. Im also a responsible drinker. I know not to drive if ive had too much.

For the fact the dunk tried to run from the scene makes me feel no bad for him. This guy is used to take bad decisions, starting with drinking while driving, then go fast when drunk driving, then ran. Who knows what else did before.

That’s to many years for a accident. Anyone could make that mistake sober or not. They should charge the bartender. Not him. Just my opinion. Bars should have a limit and time limit to sober up. Unless they take a Uber or Lyft.

If the bartender should be held responsible, why not hold the government responsible? They made it legal again after the prohibition just to get tax money.
