Son-Mum Cube Tutorial

Tutorial for the MF8 Son-Mum cube. Every step of the scramble and solve is shown. The sun-mum cube is a fantastic mixup cube variant. All three parity cases are covered (single flipped edge, two swapped corners, and two swapped edges). Feel free to skip around and watch as much or as little as you need.
00:00:00 Introduction
00:01:20 Scramble
00:09:06 Restore to cubic
00:16:45 Flatten inner edges
00:22:06 Place small centres
00:23:41 Solve first four faces
00:39:31 Solve last two faces
00:43:09 Solve the 3x3
00:46:31 Parity - Single flipped edge
00:51:39 Parity - Swapped corners or swapped edges (mixup parity)
01:00:24 Wrap-up
Algorithms:
3-cycle edges CW (down-down-up-up)
R' F R F'
3-cycle edges CCW (down-down-up-up)
F R' F' R
Flatten two inner edges
Flattens UR and FR
*** Before using, make sure any S-layer edges or inner edge segments are horizontal ***
Also swaps edges and centres, which are easily fixed.
Where S follows F
S+ R’ E+ R2 E- R S-
Fix any edges and centres that were swapped by swapping back with a standard edge 3 cycle
Fix one flipped edge parity
Put flipped edge on UF
Where S follows F, E follows D:
Note: these are 90° turns of R and E:
S- (R E)x4 U' (E' R')x4 U S+
Fix mixup parity
Note: Mixup Parity is two swapped edges or two swapped corners in the last layer
Where S follows F, E follows D:
(R S- U2 S+ R' E-)x9
Sune
Cycle RLB edges CCW
RU R' U R U2 R'
NOTE: audio loudness is normalized to -16 loudness units using the ITU BS.1770 standard. There are no sudden loud noises in the video.

I always find it impressive that you’re able to know where a piece goes in advance. No matter what puzzle you’re solving I always watch them over & over just bec I have lots of fun watching/listening to you. Nice work!
