Ian Chang is one of my favourite drummers out there. He's an institution. I really love most what he does with Son Lux but maybe give his solo work a listen also!

Truly their most amazing piece since all directions

The pause and start and the strings are sending shivers down my spine. The singing is bringing tears to my eyes. And the bass has captured my heartbeat. Only Son Lux can give me these breathtaking feelings.

@@Thee_Jadex SOrry about the insanely late reply! But hannibal to me is like a cop/detective show that's extremely graphic and psychological. Horror, even? It deals with a religious themes, incestual, etc. But it's very good! And the fandom is pretty nice and funny as hell with my experience of being in it. Just watching a single episode or two will give you a good introduction to it all, tbh.

It hit hard during the pandemic, realizing the scope of war and needless deaths, now playing our once again in this unjustified invasion, and climate change soon to come. I hear it as a type of ode to death and wanting to escape it Wanting to be lifted out of it “Count for me the cost. The number of tomorrow’s lost” is pointing out a scenario of unnecessary death Which is prevalent in the world at the moment “First the body then the blame, and then the name” In my opinion describes that people will care more about who to blame for the death of someone, before they figure out who that person is Blame before the name The lyrics go on to describe the undertow, and not wanting to be pulled under. Meaning trying to escape the drowning pull of something, I’m Assuming death. It goes on to say that they will Never see him for what he will be, and to remind him it’s not too late. Meaning, don’t wait too late to become what you will be, otherwise you may run out of time.
