You can screw the 2 bolts on both holes on the right side of the NGAL iyw

Looks like there is a spot to store the blue safety screws on the side of it. Also would have been nice to hear the button click and describe how the windage/elevation screws felt and sound.

Just double checked and you are correct. On the right side of the unit on the lower recess there are 2 little holes for the screws. Good call. The windage and elevation adjustment clicks have a distinct click however I noticed that if you go one direction and then the opposite direction there is a little slack that takes up before you get the click backwards.

how did you not know of the screws compartment on the side? also you need to compare with the latest peq15 by somogear, the ones with serial number starting with 8. the housing is the same as the real peq15, better laser and improved power@@Metalsaber

i have the somogear peq15. Curious if this is worth the upgrade. havent had durability issues yet . might get this after brass facts tests it and gives it the thumbs up

Awesome, I’m really looking forward to this to be back in stock. I’ve been waiting since he said they’re releasing the metal version because they had a lot of issues with the plastic breaking and other small issues. And to not spend 10 grand on a pec it’s fine with me for now. i got no need for a peq yet but i could use a lazer.

There is a place to store the screws on the laser. It's on the right side of the unit.

Do you know how the Boat Switch works with this unit? On the website it says "If you need to activate the Vis-Override function, you need to purchase the SomoBoat switch separately".

The front, angled button is a permanent vis-override. It activates the vis laser and flashlight regardless of the current dial setting on the NGAL.

@@Ninjaman-do5uk Thanks, i just saw Somogear have a video of it's function on their Instagram page. They didn't show all button functions when in IR mode, only the Visible override, does the larger end button operate the torch no matter which position the switch is in and does the middle button operate the IR mode/s.

it definitely will hold zero they’re old one did for thousands of rounds and this one’s supposed to be holding it way better and it’s metal so won’t break that was the main issue. The last one is the rails would break or whatever the screw on pieces to screw onto the rail snapped off a lot on peoples cause there’s all plastic and then some other things too, my hope is that I can hold at least 8000 rounds

Finnicked with mine over the past few days. Had issues with zero retention at first, but I have a rattlecanned rifle. Once I scraped and brass brushed the mounting spot, I cant see any zero issues. To clarify, initially knocking it with my multitool would shift zero to an extent and then stay in place until knocked from another direction. Now that I removed the paint, knocking from any direction doesnt hurt the zero. Got a night shoot comin up next month though, so we shall see. Also, I replaced the stock thumbscrew with 10-32 hex nuts

The peq15 clone is plastic because the real peq15 is plastic.
