I feel sad I can't get VOD review cause I play 6 agents. I just don't enjoy one tricking. I would suggest if you play one agent per map, it shouldn't be considered filling.

The rules quite literally allow you to play one agent per map. The only stipulation is they have to be the same role. You can play Omen, Viper, Harbor, and Brimstone and it’d be no problem at all as long as you pick the same one on each map.

@@adamsmejkal4433I would actually recommend that, I think that flash initiators like KAY/O and Skye take a lot more work to play well than duelist, because you have to learn a lot of subtle nuances between when to flash for yourself, flash for your teammates, and flash for info.

This vid really reassured me about how I feel watching my own VODs back. A lot of the time I feel like "Man, I STINK, it's OBVIOUS what my mistakes are. I don't wanna watch back 45 minutes of me taking engagements improperly with poor hygiene." But Hooj (as always) is right-it's about systematically categorizing your mistakes into achievable focus points. I _get_ it now, it just clicked.

0:09 , thanks to wooj I get to self review good descent of my vods that isnt worth for coach wooj to review on. the basic category really helps me fleshed out what to look for in a self vod review. one of the crucial things that i have overlook before was communications. communication in the terms - pre round planning and mid game comms etiquette… and no dead comms(comming the enemy out of intuition or game sense without any supporting facts to back it up) it is important to call out enemy utils used while on defense, noise(determine wether the area is silent or not), out site or not on site yet… if you comms this stuff out, even in a silent lobby - this will allow your team to play around it. Allowing the team to have the sense of what in the world is going on. It is also important to immediately call out the enemy + location on death… or if you killed someone in order for the team to have the utmost updated position of the an enemy team… the importance of comms, completely change on how I play valorant and when I compared mysef 6 months ago, I’d be screaming to myself whats with this really bad comm etiquittes.

You should put vods like this out more, because at least I only see higher elo ranked/ plays. This is a more realistic valorant game, low to no coms and little team work. I'm not saying I don't make these mistakes but its helpful to hear why I might or why others might.

woah, 6:32 peak comms!!!! from the looks of a oridnary valo player it isnt that much, but as an avid good comms advocate and aspiring to comm like one… this is sick, how much more to pull it off on soloqs… i get how coach wooj points out on why the comm was bad “im gonna hold with you here.” its bad for one, it is considered vague to whom the comms for and second doesnt imply location… “chamber, im with you” or “chamber, im holding with you” is passable… “chamber, im gonna hold connector with you” is i think good and then holding a high low would be the peak as coach wooj shown.

i just realized, that if i call a pre round plan like that - it would result a higher round conversion. I should add that in the comm tool. comfort pre round plan or comm: “Hey, ally can you come on my ping and stand behind me, lets hold x angle together, high low?” pre round plan has higher chance for ally to follow and coordinate well, chances of doing that mid round on low elo might not be that great but on pre rounds it would be a weapon example would be holding hooka bind accordingly (given they dont have any util to flush you out) on a weak sided map… this huge boon to my arsenal, thanks coach wooj!

Watching back short highlights that I recorded made my realized that my gunfight hygiene is bad. I've practiced dead zoning a ton but in game it's almost always the second or third bullet that hits, almost never the first, unless I'm standing still holding an angle

It wasn't even the no info Brim ult back halls, or the mid smokes, or the 33 hp dry swing into main. No it was watching him stare at the Omen smoke for a full 3 seconds that made me lose brain cells. Dunno when the Geko was last seen and if there was a flank threat but just the thought of him being flank and shooting the Brim staring at Omen smoke in the back of the head killed me on the inside.

I played this game long enough to say most mistakes people make in this game is bad habits and not think with desc ions you make. Some people are just not made for this game mentally or physically (cardio).

0:41 answered my question to should I go to a coach after I vod reviewed a vod of myself or should i go in blind asking the help of a coach.. well it would depends but it wouldnt matter.. “you go to a coach not to see more mistakes but rather to compartmentalize this mistakes into one category for one to work on” thanks coach, i just rested for a few days away from valo after the new episode. time to get back on the consistent discipline, im looking forward to submitting one soon that would qualify for a good vod review. coach wooj mention about vod reviewing the basic categories in errors in my own gameplay, i did not understand it before but as soon as I focus on one task such as communications, I started to understand more on how to personal vod review. not only so, I’d get to improve on something in particular and see its effect over due time. edit: 12:13 of vid, i guess the essence is actually to go vod review your own vod first and then go to a coach to compartmentalize the problem. however if the problem is something that you can entirely work alone with it example the basics in vod reviewing then amazing! so tldr: conclusion to the question “should you vod review your vod first beforr submitting” answer: yes!

To help you think about this, when I play with silvers my aim feels amazing, like I can hit every shot. The reason is less about my actual aim, and more about how silvers move. You will get shot less and hit your enemies more when you incorporate proper habits. It works like magic. Just don’t grind aimtrainers to makeup for bad habits, you’ll only make the problem worse,

Regardless of you saying "this advice is for this specific person at this time", do you think you'll eventually get to the point where you have advice for almost everything at any given rank, and you'll refer to some of that stuff more often than the live coaching? Or will there be enough regular content and change that live and personal coaching will always still be more valuable?

I think in the future there could come a point where a player who plays your main agent on a map with a bad habit you have aswell 100% but I doubt that he'll have encyclopaedic knowledge of each vod review he's done. I think it's also really important to note that he's saying this because he's teaching you macro situations that are applicable to you , ( the viewer hoping to improve) more often than not. "Stop brimstone ulting halls on bind" < "stop brimstone ulting with no info at the start of the round"

not the worst, a speed boost is pretty strong. it's just how u use it, in that instance, that was pretty useless. if the brim had used it with his team to initiate an entry would be extremely more impactful. (obviously).

its a good thing that the bar is set high for the vod reviews but would it be beneficial for when rewatching before submitting you ask people to timestamp the 'basic errors' in the comment of the vod so you know that they have rewatched it and not just randomly submitted and you get a better idea of when they know what they did was wrong

My rank reset so low that you dont have to worry about another scrub in your Diamond games anymore. I'll just do my best to play better keeping all that Hooj said in this video and prove myself to be actually worthy of Diamond rank. I just have one counter argument to all you out there though: Have you not had any bad game in your whole Valorant Competitive journey? One bad game isn't a representation of anyone's overall skill level, not even one's rank. I used to be like you all, mocking while watching. This experience humbled me so thank you

I think it was only bad because they were attacking a long range angle where it would be harder to get kills. Because any other gun going for the headshot would be stronger

Valorant can be such bullshit sometimes for solo. I solo in diamond and ascendant lobbies and 4 out of 5 times I topfrag or carry but we still end up losing because of stupid bullshit. After this rank reset I got plat and currently in plat 3 from plat 1 after a day and I carry every game but we still end up losing. But every time I 5 stack all my friends are immortals + and so I get fucked soemtimes and it’s still a 50/50. This game has it out for me
