This week so far: things are getting hairy, a trip to Emerald City, tractor guessing games and deciphering screwdrivers. Just another few days around here. :) Hope things are well with you! We appreciate you being here. Until next time, Farm Hard, Live Well! xx, The Bernards

So glad son is getting all the experiences on the farm, as it will make him a very smart adult. I agree with you the person who designs things should work on them and maybe a better design. Oh, my gosh every time I see Austin , with Pete, or in things she does, I you you! You, and your husband should be very proud of the life you have created for two great children. At my age of 74, I have hope for our great country, when I see your kids and your life style. Thanks for the video and please keep them coming. God Bless your family!

Two things to check on the tractor that you haven't probably checked on yet. Clean all of the ground cables, as a bad ground will effect the electronics. Don't use Teflon tape, but instead use a thread sealer. Check the resistance difference between Teflon tape and thread sealer, you'll be surprised. Since you cleaned the condenser and radiator, you're half way there. Using some machine dishwasher detergent, add 3-4 ounces to the radiator and fill with clean water, install the radiator cap and run the engine for a couple of hours. The anti-corrosive package in the anti-freeze may be allowing calcium to participate out of solution. Dish washer detergent being non-acidic won't harm metals, will dissolve calcium, and dissolve oils that may have leaked into the system from a cylinder liner or transmission cooler. Don't use an acid based radiator flush, or you could be replacing the water pump or possible the radiator when the acid eats through weak areas.

Very good advice. I do same thing. I clean all main elect. connections + & -. Every fall every spring. Be surprise how it saves your battery life. My tk battery no joke is 8 + years old. I am scared brag on it. Its way over due to fail. I use Cat batteries when ever possible because they better batteries I feel on there true cold cranking amps & ect. Some companies lye on them values. I have better luck out Cat.

She’s so lucky they have multiple. That helps a whole lot. When I lost my boy Jubitar I had no others.. we thought oh no more.. a month went by and the yard was so empty. Even though I rescue and have plenty. A gals first horse no matter the age . Is something only a horse person can truly understand. Some were like you’ve lost many animals. No not like him. He was my best friend. So anyhoo. My hubby went to out little country store. A post caught his eye. We brought home our beautiful boy sir “chance “a lot. He can never replace. But helped heal the heart and fill the yard with beauty again. Sorry so long! Lol✨✌️💜 🐎

In the summer we would have tomato gravy on toast with fried potatoes one to 2 nights a week. To make it take slices of tomatoes, drench in flour, Fried till they are brown on both sides, add flour and stir, like other gravies, some people remove the skins. Add milk bring to broil stirring. When thick serve over the toast and potatoes. Option my Dad also wanted onions fried with the potatoes.

So suddenly, Wes isn't a boy anymore! But Austin is thankfully still all (country) girl! I wish they could fully appreciate what a great life they have, but of course it's all just 'normal' to them. And I do love it when you get completely out of your normal zones and have to use tool nomenclature--hilarious! My Dad has been gone now for fourteen years and it seems my most prominent memories of him are the times we spent tinkerin' and piddlin' in the shop--working on tractors and old trucks or designing/building home-made tools like peas-shellers. Great days! Thank ya, M'Lady, for sharing and caring...

My Cardigan Welsh Corgi can make that much loose hair every 3 days, 365 days a year. On the hydraulic lines, the neighbors newer tractor has color coded remotes, so once you figure out which one you want to use with which set of hoses, I color code the hoses to match the tractor outlets. Then I wrap red tape around the hose for the Right side hose so it always goes up and down like you want. I bought a cheap package of multi colored rolls of tape that works great for this. It comes in real handy, when you have 3 or 4 sets of hoses to plug in and saves a LOT of time in the long run. Get your arm exercise on Little D. When you get old like my wife and I, you can trade him off on a new vehicle with a button to push, to open or close the hatch. Easily available for a little over $30,000 🙄

I used to can but you're correct. It's a pain. We now use a vacuum sealer. Put those Ziploc baggies of sauce in vacuum sealed bag. They keep forever. Do the same thing with berries. Put them in Ziplocs first then vacuum seal them in like Foodsaver bags. Berries look like they were just picked a year later. Even blueberries.

Hey Meredith, great video's good job with the tailgate, you know those two gray pockets on the edge of the tailgate there for your fingers to pull the gate shut so you don't get them dirty on the outside and don't have to reach up so far 😉

Loader hydraulic hose identification idea .... Pair that goes in remote #1, both hoses (as a pair)get wrapped ONE time with zip tie 18-24" back from the tips (1 wrap=remote #1). Pair (as a pair) that goes in remote #2 gets TWO wraps around hoses before zipped (2 wraps=remote #2). ... and the hose that goes in the right or top outlet on each pair gets a single wrap near the tip. No trying to 'remember' what color goes where, and no need trying to keep a supply of all different colors of zip ties. This system has worked better than first imagined 'here' for over 30 years, and even someone who only uses the system rarely can still recall the symbolism of two wraps around a pair of hoses going in remote outlet #2 and a single zip tie near the tip signifies right/top outlet (right=right/top) ...... Can also substitute wraps of wire for more longevity if stored outside.

I just recently found your channel. Watching you struggle with the whole tool thing...cracked me up SOOO much! I'm married to a 4th generation mechanic, so I can relate.

Beans, corn and cotton look good here in west Tennessee and in the Mississippi Delta. Rice looks good in the delta also. The corn is starting to brown off in the southern part of the delta. It looks like Lawrence is going to have a bumper crop of beans. We could use some rain the ground is powder keg dry.

For the tape left on - try spraying WD oil on a cloth and wipe it - might have to spray it directly. Or use "Goo Gone" or " Goof off " adhesive remover
