📚Description: I bought this from a collection of guitars a few months ago. It is a very nice example of the lesser-fancy spotlight finish known as Antique Sunburst. You can find these in a light ASB and a Dark ASB. While this one certainly looks closer to Dark ASB in photos, its border is quite a bit lighter than usual so it is kind of a blend of the two finishes - very cool. It also has an unusually High Gibson logo for this era, but as I track these guitars I've found a few more in the 83 140-160ish range with similar. So far they have all been a ASBL/D mix with PAF stickers.

Having only one schaller on the top strap button makes sense to me, it’s the only spot that has a lot of tension trying to pull the strap off, the bottom is usually fine. That way you can do two guitars from one set of strap locks

There’s a perfectly good reason why the front strap button was replaced with a locking one… it’s the front one that tends to slip off when you’re playing! I ended up putting Planet Waves diamonds (reminiscent of the Gibson ones) on my Standard. Without them, l was terrified to take it on stage.

Trogly, the best fretboard cleaner and conditioner on the market is the Dunlop 01 and 02 with the brown label. By far the best I've used, and I've used a LOT of them. The cleaner cuts the gunk very quickly and the conditioner actually darkens rosewood.

I love your show and all the info about Gibson Les Paul's and other guitars , but sometimes think your taken away the true sprit of the instrument and the possibility that could have come from it.
