Yep. Been there dude. When I took a chance and bet on myself, I was living out of paper bags in a Motel 6 for a while. Not cool for a family of 4 (at the time). But when you believe in yourself and your vision, sometimes good things happen and it can change your life. Hope you’re happy with what you’re doing here, Kyle. Just turned 41, been reflecting for a few years...I have a decent State job, but things are changing and my gut is telling me to bail....But I just thank God EVERY day I wake up, because no one makes it out alive, so I just try to live every day fully, and always look ahead too.....just be yourself and the universe will line the path in front of you. Reality is, most people aren't who they portray and have problems behind closed doors......if you just be Real, you're Ahead of those people, everything will work as it should.

Good message and definitely one a lot of people need to hear, myself included. Finding success when struggling with self doubt is definitely a huge hurdle to overcome, so its nice to hear you share these small glimpses into your story as a means to try to help motivate others that are in a similar place to where you’ve been. Great message, Kyle! I find myself visiting your channel and watching your videos quite regularly, even though I'm not so much into e-standard thrash metal. I think the reason I keep checking your videos is you as an entertaining and nice dude in front of the camera and to hang out with in live streams and enjoying the kick ass tones you get out of those amps. And you are definitely one of my trusted gear demo KZreadrs when it comes to amp sounds along with Ola, Fluff and Rabbea. Every demo guy has his own style to explain and show things and the way you go through the tones of an amp and show the tones you create with them just check all the important boxes for me. Great news that you find yourself in a situation that you feel the need for a second person to work on your videos. I think it shows how great the channel is evolving and you can record more kick ass tones for us gear heads and let the stuff you don't love so much about video editing do someone who loves that part of creating a great video. Long story short - nice videos, great message and I'm glad that I found your channel.

We're the same age, and our birthdays are in the same part of the year. I've been homeless, I've been incarcerated for crimes I was the victim of, I've had crazy exes stalk me, my fiancee has also been homeless, had an ex that committed suicide, even exes that abused her, and we were friends through all of the craziness. Now we have a little boy to look after, and my son is adorable - he even tries to do death growls, and he's barely one. When things were at their worst, I couldn't conceive of a life after 30. I never would have figured I'd have 2 bands going. Never would have pictured being HAPPY, let alone having a family. Shit is wild. Happy to see other people being happy, as well. Just keep chugging, both literally and metaphorically.

Happy belated birthday!! I was somewhat in a vague situation, working at a music store for almost 8 years but the last three years I absolutely hated it and felt it was a dead end job with horrible work ethics. Thankfully, ironically, COVID helped me leave the work yet I still felt misplaced in life. It wasn’t until summer of 2022 that my gf helped motivate me to go back to school to work on a teacher certificate. I should be done by this fall semester, but at the same time it helped motivate me to get back into playing guitar again too Thanks again for making a video like this!

Happy Birthday Kyle! You're an amazing person and it's so rare to witness a person who actually cares so much about people they don't know. I stumbled upon your channel a few months ago and have been hooked ever since. I've been religiously going back through your past episodes to catch up. I think you made the absolutely right choice to stick to your guns and build the channel to what it is and what it will be! I was deeply touched by your episode a few weeks back regarding your issues with depression, etc... I myself suffer from depression and anxiety and have for years. Medication helps, but I still have my moments of being massively down. I used to live for playing guitar. Much like you, I was a "tone hound" and a thrash metal rhythm player. I stepped back from it about 20 or so years ago because life things such as work, family, etc... took all of my time. I've had two strokes over the past 5 years and the last one left me with total neuropathy on my entire left side (fretting hand) and zapping about 30%of my strength and dexterity. I pretty much resorted to never playing again. Within the last 6 months or so I really got the bug to play again. I no longer had any gear, so I went on a buying spree. I purchased a Jackson Series X Soloist, Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 40 Deluxe with matching 1x12 cab and a Fractal FM9. The Jackson goes back to my old days of playing them and the H&K and Fractal are nods to my hero Alex Lifeson and chasing his tones as well as my love of 80's thrash metal sonic destruction. I started watching your channel just around the same time the gear started coming in and I thought I would immediately get back on the horse. To my horror, I find that I can barely form barre chords, let alone any single note runs. I thought I had just wasted all this money for nothing as It's all just sitting in my home office collecting dust. That is, until this video! You've really inspired me to get through my physical difficulties and not only get back on the horse but ride the bucking bronco! Anyway, enough of my babble! I just wanted to let you know that you and your channel mean a lot to me and as you can see, a ton of others! Again, I wish you the happiest of birthdays and wish you many more! Kyle, i really needed to hear this message today. Ive been chomping at the bit for at least the passed year about starting my own gear review channel like yours. Ive made 100 different reasons as to why i couldnt do it, am i good enough to do this? Will people perceive it well? What do i do? And the brass tax of it all is that i really really needed to hear this. My sister has become quite a successful social media creator and has been on my ass about doing it. And after hearing this its like the message was sent to me to get me in gear with it! It is crazy to hear your past story and how I can connect on some level to it - there was a point where I was homeless as well and couch hopped with a duffle bag that I kept some clothes and a desktop computer and recording interface and crashed at bands practice spots and offered to record pre-production demos and help with songwriting in exchange for a spot to sleep and maybe a pack of smokes and a burger from mcdonalds. did that for about a year riding on the MBTA in Boston to find the next couch / practice spot. Stoked to see where you're at now - I feel extremely fortunate to be where I'm at now. Keep it up man, you're a rockstar.
