Looking for a viewpoint and a church near Siviri, we found a buried treasure of Halkidiki... Sveti Nikola beach is less than 2 km from the center of Siviri for those who come on foot... for everyone else there is a path up to 100 meters from the beach, but if you is a car, the lower advice is that you don't go all the way down and leave the car about 100 meters from the turn off the main road and walk the last 200-300 m to the beach...
You will immediately notice this extraordinary color of the water when going down to the beach. Before the beach itself is our main reason for coming here and how we found this beach in the first place. The Church of Saints Cosmas and Damjan was our primary goal as a landmark that you can visit in the surroundings of Siviri. Beautiful an old church and an extremely pleasant environment, with phenomenal shade, smells and sounds... and right below the church is a true paradise on earth... Sveti Nikola Beach is about 200 m long and only a few meters wide, up to 7-8 m at most.
It is facing west, so you will enjoy exceptional natural shade in the morning and exceptional sunsets in the afternoon. the only thing that can bother you is the sea grass, which is mostly concentrated only in the far right part. The beach is kind of tucked away and protected from winds and waves, so always expect such calm water... At first it didn't seem like that, but this rock in the middle of the beach can cater to diving lovers... Don't try this, it's quite shallow. He's a trained professional...
This beach is completely wild, so prepare well before leaving because there are no shops, cafes, etc... On the hill above the beach, we noticed a couple of buildings that lead to these interesting stairs... and all we can say after spending a day on this beach is to envy them...
Until a few months ago, I had not even heard of this beach, and as of today, Sveti Nikola beach is definitely on my top 10 list of beaches, Kassandra for sure and maybe even the whole of Halkidiki...
