Back in the early 1970s my father was the village Bobby, we lived in the Police House next to the school, I have many pleasant memories of playing in the Hall grounds as a child, a lovely part of East Anglia that hasn’t changed since then.

Just returned from a short stay in Walberswick. Sadly Somerleyton had closed for the season and we didn't get to visit. Beautifully shot and edited video. The other grand properties must be daft missing out on your potentially lovely videos. Hopefully they'll see the error of their ways.

Thanks Paul. I have emailed dozens sinse then with links to this video and only three have bothered to respond, all saying they employ their own promotional and marketing UAV operators. I have permission to fly at another country pile in Norfolk but that's going to have to wait until the New Year now. Thank you once again for the kind comments.

So much to capture, and I think you done a great job with the range of different shots! Was this a commission or did you ask for permission as a portfolio filler?

Thanks. I asked permission to purely to add to the channel hoping against hope that they would say yes, which to my surprise they did. I have written to many of the major country houses and estates in East Anglia and Somerleyton Hall and Layer Marney Tower have been the only two that have been welcoming :( I will persist though.
