Amen! The amount of prophets and prophecies these days is rather overwhelming on social media. You have to be wise and my faith doesn’t extend to most of them. I’d rather stick to obedience to scriptures and God’s love for me.

One day a woman, the wife of a dear brother in Christ, "prophesied" about me, that God wants me to move into another city, close to where they lived. I doubted that it was of God, and ewfused it. She and her husband got so offended that I didn't believe and obey that prophesy, they completely cut ties and I never had any contact with them ever since. Sad

You are a true man of God.Most of these prophets haven't judged their spirits how can they accept to be judged by someone else.

I had been praying for deliverance over this fear that felt evil. I had commanded it to go out of me in Jesus' name, but it was very hard. I kept seeking the Lord and continually repented over my sins. Somehow, I came across this video, usually I would stay away from spiritual warfare videos as I am afraid of the topic. However, I stayed to listen to this message and was beyond blessed!!! I suddenly remembered that I had recieved a prophecy like Derek described as his examples, which tormented me very very much upon hearing it. However, hearing his experience, I realized the same thing had happened to me, as the so called prophet lived a life of sexual immorality later! I prayed "satan your destiny have no authority over as I belong to the Lord Jesus Christ who has authority" and behold! That fear escaped me as I rejected that prophecy with Jesus name and authority! Praise God for His wonderful mercy!

So many of these basic things we have gone without, at times. Pls be thankful in small things, as well as faithful. Truly, just a washer or money for a laundromat is a BLESSING. Don’t bemoan having to do laundry. Let us be found thankful too!

He can only place thoughts in our minds which can be recognised by their disharmony, selfishness and cruelty among many other evil aspirations. But he very definitely cannot see the future so to say that prophecies coming true when they are not from God is incorrect. Satan can make us believe his words are prophetic but they will never come true. Only prophecies from God will eventuate.

Satan doesn't know everything but he sure does know some things! He has permission from God to do things sometimes, like with Job. He knew Job's children would die, he caused the storm that killed them! He knew Job's would lose his stock, & he would be sick. When Ahab was killed, he knew ahead of time bc a prophet had said so, so there are most certainly times Satan can tell a false prophet something that is true. There's also familiar spirits who hear things people say, and plan. They can communicate that even years later.

He shared the same message as I did on Prophecy, and people may think he follows my Doctrines, or I imitate his. Anyway, I am not surprised he aligns with mine.

Not sure which "office" you're saying someone has to hold. All of 1 Thessalonians leading up to and through 5:19-22 is written to the entire church in Thessalonica. No specific "office" is mentioned that I see?

Not true, many Prophets spoke to certain people and groups that were not saved and that particular word spoken brought these people to the Lord, Jonah was sent to Nineveh to tell the people to repent of their sins or the city would be destroyed, many prophetic words were given to bring people to repentance in the unbelievabling world. And there's certain words given to believers, doesn't mean if it's posted on line it's false, some unsuspecting non believer might come across a certain word and be drawn to the Lord and be saved. False Prophets are those who give words that are not Biblically based or words they speak don't come true.
