Sometimes sellers get excited about the games they sell or they get to know you(I use eBay) and I like letting them know what they sell me goes into my collection and that I'm not a reseller. I bought Bravely Default and Bravely Second and the seller hoped I enjoyed my playthrough. I let them know I'm a collector and am excited to have them. Connections...so pure

I had one of those gba afterglow front lights, and yes they were terrible. The dial should adjust the brightness but it's never going to be great. The module on top has contacts that touch the screen cover to power it. Maybe try unplugging that and putting it back on to get better contact? Definitely a blast from the past. Good luck!

that pink SP had some solvent poured on it, something like lacquer thinner or based on the color of the system, more likely acetone in the form of nail polish remover.

I remember when those cool, colorful Macs came out. As for the pink Gameboy, maybe someone spilled nail polish remover?

You got a steal of a deal on those iBook clamshells. They are so scalped after online in North America and are often sold for way over the price of their actual worth.

That Gameboy Advance "battery pack" is actually just a power converter that only works plugged in. I bought one back in the day thinking it was a battery pack, but no.

That pink SP looks almost like it was a deliberate design choice. It'd be perfect as a Splatoon special edition. Also I find it funny that you refer to a bunch of MacBooks but not a single one of those Macintosh laptops was an actual MacBook. Just PowerBooks and iBooks. :)

I was a key holder at GameStop and we got a lot of SPs on trade. That where is very common. It's actually just from it being put down on a table and picked back up. It's how they wear. I think the heat from the backlight causes it, but if you've seen a lot of game boy SPs it's very common on high use models.

3:53 i've never seen the game before, but i looked it up & its Puyo Pop Fever in Europe/America or Puyopuyo Fiba (ぷよぷよフィーバー) in Japan. seemed to be released on a lot of different consoles, not just GBA

Been using Sendico since the Japan vlog series. It's amazing all the cool stuff you can find for such good deals, I've recently picked up a splatoon 2 pro controller with a broken ZR trigger for ¥2400. Should be a fairly easy fix, if need be I can shell swap another pro controller I have. Super excited for that, I've also ordered a lot of DS and DS lites, maybe more than I should 😂

I have the Gameboy Gallery case boxed, glad to see what it looks like outside of it without having to open mine.

My favorite thing was the White DMG Game Boy! it would have been the GBA front light but that didn't seem to work probably, though I like how seemless it looked (kind of just looked like a slightly bulkier screen lens).

Man, I was a into it when the GBA came out, and that front light add-on would have been wild! Imagine playing that in the dark at night! I bet it looks decent in that use, especially considering it was unplayable in the dark otherwise 😅

the game you got with the gba (the sonic team game) is Puyo Pop Fever. Its a really good Puyo Puyo game thats release on everything back in 2004 (PS2, GameCube. Xbox OG, DS, PSP, GBA, Arcade and even on the Dreamcast actually its the last dreamcast game sega ever made) the gameboy version got a physical release in europe and the uk.

I've started importing from japan thanks to all your videos and everything is so much cleaner than the used market in the UK and cheaper too. everything is at a fair price

Elliot the AGB-008 is not a rechargable battery, is an adapter to play directly from the light socket, so you will never need batteries again, I have one and I can even play with an IPS screen, also you will need the cable model AGB-009 to make it work since have a weird conection.

I've always wanted a Seibu Lions Game Boy Pocket, super cool! Also the Macbooks are insanely cool too! :)

I vaguely recall seeing some dmg style pockets when I was a kid, but that was 20 something years ago and I might be confusing something I saw on the internet with what was released here.

Can confirm that light is as dark as you see. All the light mods at the time were crap because LEDs weren't there yet.

When the original first game boy came out here in the the UK my dad bought my little brother one brand new the day it came out and my little brother played it to death. But the thing is my brother's one bought from Dixon's was the same as any other game boy but the A and B where blue and the box was white with all the writing in the same blue . And it had a Dixon's sticker with 1st 100 edition stuck on the box. Unfortunately it's long gone proberly in a land fill somewhere. But have you ever heard or seen an genuine original game boy with all blue buttons. Also the cart that came with it was also blue . The game was Tetris. Bought from Dixon's Clapham junction on the day of release.

You should preserve the metallic GBA SP by adding a minimal layer something like a clear coating paint (sorry not a native english speaker here).

Speaking of apple, you should make a custom game boy color for Steve Wozniak. I saw a documentary about him, and he plays tetris on a GB light. It was an old documentary, so i don't know if he's upgraded his GB since then, but i think it's a neat idea.

Elliot's gotta spend the two weeks to memorise the Katakana. It's not exactly simple but they usually well read out English words. But then he'd also know how to read Puyo Puyo in japanese
