I feel like this is one of the best songs ever written. It's not even overly complicated or particularly deep, but it's still such a great song, even in terms of lyrics. It conveys perfectly the sense of "what once has been and now it's not".

"Commercial"-music is meant to ring in the ears and mind for as long as possible. It can be torture when a song becomes super popular. I always feel a lil' sorry for the artist. The audience can be like tots that only want to hear one particular song over and over.
