Somebody Made For Me - Emitt Rhodes 4 Track Cassette Tape Cover

#EmittRhodes #4TrackTape #Portastudio
This is my tribute to the great Emitt Rhodes. I definitely felt even more of a connection to him as I holed up in my recording room and tried to recreate his music!
I referenced this interview with Emitt and Tape Op magazine to learn as much as a could about his recording process. A very worthy read: desertskiesmusic.com/EmittRho...

I am so glad you started making videos on KZread again. I love all of your covers, going all the way back to your first ones. I want to be you when I grow up. Please keep them coming.

Fun watching a boy with his toys. Must be a labor of love. I love getting to see all the beautiful things on the walls. Amazing how much fidelity of the recording survives the transfers.

This sounds so so good and leaves me with a couple of questions: where did you find the interview where he lays out his process? And what microphones did you use for the drums if it’s ok to ask?
