This year was my first trip. I don't know what previous year's prices were like, but I feel the asking prices on merchandise were lost in the clouds. I witnessed numerous haggle deals where the vendor ended up agreeing to half the price they were asking. On the low end of the spectrum it was common for vendors to demand $2-3 for loose Hot Wheels that looked like they were pulled from sink garbage disposals.

I’m sorry you had that experience. It could be that those vendors were crashing prices later in the week after the initial rush. I never lower prices dramatically during the show or any show. Price day one is typically the same price end of the show. I do lower items once I’ve had them for a bit. So if I brought them back for the July show after having them at the spring show the sticker would be lower. I will say I always find stuff for resale at brimfield but it’s not easy. I buy from less than 10 percent of the vendors and I tend to buy from the same vendors year after year.

Like the video be hitting Mays field Thursday been going to Brimfield for years know the routine- last year I noticed they raised the parking fee to $20 didn’t like that!

Yeah. Parking has been creeping up for a few years now.

Brining the GF for her 1st time on Friday hoping to find vintage cameras and militaria & cigarettes tins. hopefully we can find your booth and say hi.

You will def find some of that stuff. Sadly I am skipping this brimfield. So I won’t be set up

I’ve noticed that dealers hate to be told prices: “I’ll give you $20”. I find that asking is civil and welcomed. Basically, I just ask if they have any wiggle room and say no worries if they don’t.

As a dealer that comes across as rude as hell, as though we don't know our business. think if you were selling, you know what all the costs were to bring that Item to market, you know who your buyers are and what you can get for an item. Would you want to told you'll take $$ by someone who lacks all that info? I don't think so. No. there business runs like that why should we?? AND it's not always what you say, but how you say it,.
