Some new techy goodness in Theodore Wirth!
Out at the new tech trail at Theodore Wirth in Golden Valley, MN with Jeremy from Dialed In! This trail was built fall of 2023 by Zenith Trail Contracting and is located in the North Loop. It's rated a black diamond but everything is rollable. Pretty short loop but offers a lot of punch and is super easy to loop and session.
Overall I thought it was pretty fun and we did probably 5 loops on it. The down sections are fast and the climbs are punchy, just how I like it. There's not a lot of terrain to work with here so I'd say they did a pretty nice job given what they had to work with.

Great vid of a fun new loop, you guys make it look too easy. That janky turn around the tree where you almost lost it on the old loop gets me every time. I hate that spot 😂!

I like the addition. I wish it were longer and they had more then like 15 feet of elevation to work with, but it's cool.

I love the warning sign 😂 it’s peak MORC Theos great, I’m glad they finally built something a bit more modern there. I used to live less than 10 minutes away, learned to ride there. Great place to learn the basics and build a bit of fitness/confidence on the bike but you outgrow it pretty fast.

Yeah for sure but I’d say there’s some decent progression there. I always have a good time on the SW and glenwood loops. There’s some pretty ripping sections but yes there’s nothing gnarly there except for the climbs at brownie haha. But yes this is definitely a nice addition. Just kinda sucks you have to ride the north loop for it lol 🤷🏻♂️

Love the vid! I was out there on Monday. Question for ya, I’m a bit of a newbie riding a hard tail and looking to upgrade. Theo are my home trails so want a short travel bike that’s good on climbs. You think an XC bike like a YT Izzo would be a good fit? Other recs?

Thanks! Yeah I think the Izzo would be a great choice! Hard to beat YT’s prices and they usually have sales.

Personally I think it sort of sucks for what it could be. The way they spaced the climbs and features just doesn’t make a lot of sense which is so sad considering they had a chance to make something incredible.

Respect the opinion but how so? There’s barely any terrain there. I thought they did a pretty good job with having not much to work with. How do you think it could be better?
