How my Indian Scout Bobber was dropped by a riders share renter and they completely denied it. For those that don't know Riders share is similar to Twisted Roads where you can rent out your bike or you can rent privately owed bikes from other people. It sucks that people can’t just be honest and own up to their mistakes. Glad to hear Riders Share took care of you tho. The new badging is definitely a nice upgrade 👍

Glad you got it fixed but the extra cash was for time and hassle imo. No way I’d rent out my bike, no matter the money. It would just irritate the hell out of me that it was dropped.
I would never do a rider share. Can’t trust people.

I love my bobber too much to let *anyone* ride it unsupervised. I'll let my friends ride it around the parking lot, but that's as far as I go . . .
As an Airbnb host (similar kind of platform) I totally get It and understand your frustration. It pisses me off when guests break or wreck something up and then say …. “ I didn’t do it” ! Bastards. Thanks goodness the ride share insurance came through and covered your expenses. Cheers amigo !

Seriously. So I found out they're insured by Loyds of London though. Huge company. They even insure J-Lo's butt I think

You're a brave man, I would never let anyone ride my bike lol. There are one or two riding buddies that I would let take mine for a spin, but definitely not randoms.

Yeah see the people are supposed to be licensed and everything so it hasn't been a problem. Until this duo pulled a fast one so the non licensed rider can ride it. They did me dirty

@@TheGarthinator oh no worries man, I didn't even take it that way. I've mentioned it before. Maybe there's something wrong with me but I just think of it as a collection of metal, rubber, plastic and glass. It's not my wife or anything 😆. Sure this particular one is sentimental because it's my first one and that can't be replaced but I don't have a problem with a licensed rider, riding it. Keyword "licensed" there's a lot of people that wouldn't rent their bike out but would 100% hop on someone else's

Bro lane splitting is so bad, I know its legal but it pisses me off when I get startled by a lane splitter.
That would be my greatest fear when renting out my bike. I am glad Ridershare acted so quickly.

Yeah. I live in Imperial Beach. I rented a Road King Special last weekend. All went well. I found Riders Share about a year ago when I travelled for work and would rent bikes while I was out of town. It’s a good service if both parties are respectful.

How are those gloves riding in the cold. I ride at 4am 46 degree going to work and my hands get a bit cold… with regular leather gloves

These aren't made for cold either. It's been getting to high 40s here too when I ride to work at 7am. I'm looking for something warm also.

That is a huge risk. I forgot to mention it while I was recording but if it wasn't for the crash bar, it would have been way worse

@@Valorcycle not anymore really. In the beginning it rented enough to cover my payments and insurance but it slowed down in 2022. I've rented it maybe a total of 5 or 6 times. I think I'm done though. Stop while I'm ahead. I want to keep this bike forever and I can't do that if someone totals it

@@RickyBobber I'm only considering it because I have the Challenger and don't ride the Scout as often. I'll do some more research and see if there are other scouts in my area up for rent. If there are then it's a saturated market so wouldn't hope to get that much business from it. I also want to keep my scout as long as possible and worried some schmuck would ride it into the ground and then leave me with a messed up transmission.

I'm mean I've been doing it. 5 or 6 times was perfectly fine. Then this guy without a license got his hands on it. I did not approve. But yeah that's probably it for me with Riders share
