Another great episode!! speaking on books getting destroyed my LCS had a pretty crazy number of books get destroyed throughout the year none more then Void Rivals so my shop couldnt sell over half of them and when contacting publisher they were told no new ones would be sent and wait till the second print. Luckily I got 2 copies of the first print

Absolutely love this pod! The 3 of you in particular have absolutely lit a fire under my casual interest in comics and initial collection. It's great to watch along and feel like I am part of the comic fam despite being on the other side of the world given that I am kind of alone in my friend group with this hobby.

And Dell'otto stated he was not aware of his art being used for this exclusive.

There's a big question around printing books to be destroyed in terms of why waste the resources in terms of climate. But also it rely's upon those books actually being destroyed. The Mile High II Collection comes to mind which in the owners own words were most likely books that were supposed to have been destroyed as unsold books, but ended up in a warehouse be resold by potentially organised crime.

I like Ryan's idea of the toilet signing chair for conventions! Homer Simpson made the prototype toilet lazy-boy so it can be done!

Had the pleasure of meeting Tom and Geoff. At SD comic Con had a great conversation with both of them Tom is awesome guy I made a comment about his ant man watch and he actually gave to me thank for the watch mi hermano

I despise manufactured scarcity. That includes variants. I feel they are often just an attempt to make regular runs relevant when they no longer are. This has done irreparable damage to the sports card hobby -- base card sets are no longer generally desired. I really hate to see it happening more in comics. Anything that is focused purely on the art leads to diminishment of story. Comics will die if the stories are relegated. Then we will just have a twelve-issue special -- all variant covers. That's the direction printed comics are heading.

It was common practice ,at Marvel anyway, to have the contracted artists create pinups and covers that never get published and held. Just paid work that they kept in storage for later.

It is gorgeous. Him claiming that his was the Rarest Dell'otto Variant in History when selling 125k worth of boxes is a crime though. He deserves criticism.

I agree. I hate to see an event or show labeled "comic con" and there's very little to no comic book dealers. Shows have become saturated with B rated actors, Funko POPs, and Etsy crafts. That's not what a "comic con" should be.

Doomsday Clock must be destroyed. That comic was awful.

Doomsday Clock needs to be forgotten. It needs to be erased from history. Doomsday Clock is a disgrace to comics in general and it needs to go away. Geoff Johns should be ashamed of himself for writing that piece of garbage.

Doomsday Clock. It's like making a sequel to George Orwell's novel, 1984. But it's a crossover with the 1968 family musical film, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Does that sound stupid. Well, that is what Doomsday Clock is. This comic deserves so much hate. Just the fact that it exists, makes me sick. Like what were they thinking. I know it's a cliché to say what were they thinking, but like seriously, what the #@!&. What is wrong with Geoff Johns. Does he have hate Watchmen or was he on drugs or something... I don't know! And I don't care! Doomsday Clock is a piece of %$#@ that ruined Watchmen and the comics industry. I seriously still can't believe that they would do this to one of the greatest comics ever written. It's like making a sequel to Blade Runner but it's a crossover with 1997's Steel. Does that make no sense. Yeah I doesn't make sense Seriously Doomsday Clock is awful in so many ways imaginable. This comic shouldn't exist, but it sadly does. I hate DC for writing that pile of dog crap

Guru. Where do you stand on Bry's claim for this virgin cover that his is the "Rarest Dell'otto Variant in History"? That was the graphic he used in marketing this box as he was selling it. Earlier this year on Gabriele Dell’Otto's April 12th IG post he shows off his One of One Miles Morales cover. Bry's revenue for this box was a shade under $125,000. 499 boxes at $250 each. That's a felony level false advertising suit if anyone tried to bring one. There are far more than one or two infractions here. Not to mention Bry goes through Ebay sold prices of his own exclusives in his videos when promoting the next one. Bry has no concept of right or wrong. His idea of transparency is claiming he is transparent.

Doomsday Clock was awful in so many ways. It ruined Dr. Manhattan, It ruined Rorschach, It ruined Firestorm, It ruined Batman, It ruined Watchmen. It made Dr. Manhattan have a son named Clark. It's a superhero reconstruction. and It's disrespectful. The whole entire comic is so hard to read from start to finish. And it is a complete waste of time, just by reading it. Geoff Johns hates Watchmen or he was high on drugs when he came up with this terrible idea. And the Superman theory conspiracy thing was so stupid. I mean seriously, why are people ok with this garbage. This crap shouldn't exist. This trash needs to be erased from history. All copies of this garbage need to be destroyed. This comic is awful. End of story
