Literally brought tears to my eyes. The best quote about Jason I ever heard was when I asked Marty Friedman to share a thought. “Jason isn’t the reason I play guitar. He’s the inspiration for getting up in the morning”.

It's like meeting of the guitar titans to salute one of the greatest talents ever.

I was Blessed to have met and taken a handful of lessons from Jason. Truly a beautiful person and incredibly gifted guitarist. After joining DLR he even came back up to the Bay Area to do a guitar clinic at DVC that I helped set up. THANK YOU for all your contributions Jason \m/.

Most would say I was "a shredder" back in the day (though I hate the term itself because it's nothing like that). Last year my hands suddenly froze up and were so swollen and stiff I could barely play 2 notes in a row. Players like Tony Iommi, Django Reinhardt, and especially Jason Becker helped keep me inspired and refusing to give up. Now I can play a lot again, and though I may never play like I used to, I am still progressing as a musician.😊

I'm glad marty went right after the clips of Jason. It seems like the way it should be. What a great show of unity from the guitar shredding community. I love it.

Wow man that was awesome...just woke up in the semi truck after a long week of hauling each night, was bummed over night cause I found out yesterday that band practice is cancelled due to the drummer being sick, and this just pumped me up so much, I can't wait to go setup my gear at the practice room and spend 4 hours ripping it up. The tune made me realize that I still got my guitar to enjoy, my health, some friends to see, and music like this, to enjoy for the rest of my life....thanks Jason, and friends, for being my heroes...right on, I'm lit up now!

It's great that you documented all of this. Many people believe playing an instrument is not that hard. No not at all if you have the best Parr of twenty years to dedicate to learning it.
