Somalis & Afars of Ethiopia: Strategic Allies or Enemies? Part 1
The ongoing conflict between the Afar and Somali people have devastated many lives and uprooted many individuals from their homes. Thousands of fine young men have been killed and injured from both sides over the last five years or so. Many more children have been orphaned, and women widowed.
In this zoom meeting we are attempting to answer the nature of the relationship between the Somali and Afar people, and to explore a means of finding an everlasting peace between the two neighborly people.

Baaraka Allahu Fiikum. You are doing your part. Ordering good and forbidding evil. Somali & Afar are brothers & sisters in Islam and blood. No reason to fight and waste much needed resources for destroying each other. That is losing both worldly and hereafter life. May Allah swt unite their hearts , Allah swt is the only who can unite them.
Peace among brothers is important.
Sure 100% it is concerns us as Ethiopian and as horn of africa and as muslim

As a somali we use to think afar is one of us but they turned against us And it looks ethiopian goverment using afar for their dirty job

If one blames the Afar or the Somali people for this conflict, they have missed the point that we are trying to convey in this program. In my humble opinion, both the Afar and Somali people are victims of this conflict. They are both suffering needlessly. They are both dying needlessly. It is time for the two brotherly people to resolve their differences once and for all through intense dialogue.

those who forget past truth will suffer and when they realize the truth they start become unite and solve there problems. unless you do that the fake politics that lead by the west entities will destroy you not me only. this afar and Somali are great peoples this peoples are the holder of ASEB and Digibuty so we have so many issue just wake up from the sleep and see the reality what is going on in our country , Africa and the world.
