Should send this to "lock picking lawyer" and see if he can pick the lock instead of solving the puzzle. Lol

During these quarantine times, you should look back at this puzzle and completely solve it. Many comments already pointing it out but there was more to this puzzle that you didn't actually get to. That's why there was another keyhole near the rod underneath the first keyhole.

Ima be saying ‘use the shape of the lock to solve it’ in my sleep now bro
The puzzle is not finished. There is an actual fire starter.
This video has another HUGE puzzle: how to focus the camera.
Chris, the rod was flint. The have to strike that rod on the inside of the lock with the key to make a spark. It’s an actual fire starter.
As far as using “the shape of the lock to solve”...I think it is meaning to spin the lock between your hands (like a caveman trying to start a fire with a stick) this action would cause both of those pins to push out, allowing you to put the key in. Just something I thought during the video...keep up the good work man. Peace.

You haven't been lucky. I solved this puzzle exactly the same way. The pins in the lock are kind of confusing. I also rolled it to get the key in. However it's not working very precise and 100% repetable, at least not for me. But who cares, the look and feel compensate that. 😜 Nice vid! 👍

Also he didn't even solve it! He ended time and ended his recording without replacing the rubber ring and cap! :/ Just enough to trigger me
It's a chain lock. You place the end links into each of the slots. Also agree with Dylan Wold's comment regarding sending it to the LockPickingLawyer. I wonder if these lock puzzles can be picked.
It's a chain lock, one end into each shackle. With the right size chain it leaves very little room to cut or pry.
Soon as you said, "What do you think that means?" I scream: "IT'S A CIRCLE!"
Looks like it would lock chain links. Like a bike chain.
As a real padlock (viro is renowned for good quality locks) you would use this to put the links of either end of a chain in the slots to lock a motorcycle. The design protects the shackle bolt from being cut.
It's a bicycle lock. You simply pass the shackle through the end links of a hardened steel chain and use it to chain up your bicycle. I believe Bosnianbill and lockpickinglawyer both did reviews of the unmodified version of this lock. It's extremely robust in every way except for the fact that it's somewhat lacking in pick resistance. The shackle slot in the center is designed to retain the chain link when it's in the unlocked position but the chain can be removed and replaced by inserting a piece of wire into that little hole underneath the rubber ring to fully retract the shackle.
The occasional focus idea was a stroke of genius.
"Use the shape of the lock to solve it" Is this a new kind of cult you just made, Chris?
Love the work that went into the opening!!!
Puzzle maker: NO Banging/hitting Chris: BANGS HITS
It didn't seem completely taken apart.
"Do I need to remove the ring before I solve it" Well, removing the ring actually solves it.
I seriously love your videos! much love from Alberta!

"Trying to put it all the way through" "Drops the key then puts it all the way through"

To me one of the most facinating things about this channel is that, you don't have any clue of how to solve those puzzles but your thoughts and clues comes all together to a point where you literally have the solution on your hands. And plus your ability to stay calm. I would beat the shit out those puzzles lol.
I'm at 6:55 and I would look at the key more. Also my family trade is locksmithing. And I would focus less on the lock as a whole and look more like the cylinder as that is the focus of traditional locksmithing. That may not work in the end but I'm just going off of my experience and what at this point in the video I'd try. I'm excited to see how this thing works.
Does anyone else feel like he didn't solve it all the way? I feel like there's more to it

They modded it a bit, if it's not entirely custom seeing as the lever doesn't go all the way out without clearing the two holes (the brass pin + the pin under the shield).
@Riyame
4 жыл бұрын
@@aserta That is the design. When new you open it and pull out the shackle then use the tool (the pin) to push in the brass bit and pull it out all the way. Then you insert a chain link into that slot and push the lock cylinder back in. This keeps the chain and lock together and you only lock/unlock the spot for a single chain link. The pin that prevents key entry and needs to be rotated around is the modified part.
