Giraffe is my favourite test for any technology. Frankly they should benchmark everything by whether it can giraffe.

Yeah of course! Whenever I try to solve a rubik's cube with one hand, a giraffe comes out of nowhere and tries to mess with me 1:16 . It's a good thing OpenAI is training its AI for every situation.

Seems to me that they're more or less focused on creating robotic help oriented machines but where I think this hand would really shine would be in the world of robotic prosthetics because this is by far the most advanced robotic hand I've seen as far as dexterity goes and ability to mimic an actual human hand

Just don't paint your hand with colorful blocks and put it next to that robot :)

What happens if you change the color of a square, like changing a blue square by a white one? Will the robot stop in the nearest result that he find? Will it loop forever? Will it give up?

1:53 best part. i rule at finding the best parts. and this is the best part.

Soon it will learn to deter sources of perturbation by giving them the finger.

I have a idea for all you ai people. make the code that's running the ai evolve . what im saying is make a program that can make another program which runs the ai . this add another layer of complexity because now the program is able to write it's own code weather it be c++ , python , whatever language . of course their will still have to be basic rules ,such as time limit to complete task , limit number of code written , randomly vary 5% of the code or something like that. yes increasing data will make the ai smarter ,but i have to ask how much data were you born with , the answer is very few , yet a baby is still smarter than a ai . it not really a data problem , it more like a programmer problem (a human problem) , so remove the programmer , kinda , you know what i mean.

I think it's not about building the most efficient machine at solving a rubiks cube. It's about learning how to code a machine that can adapt to a changing state

It is because since we have human hands, we have a reference point and some intuition about which movements are adequate. Also, our environment has been created to be operated by human hands. Therefore if we can create a smart robot with human hands, then it will be able to do anything a human can, e.g. house cleaning or cooking.
