The GCF can be used to solve word problems that are looking for groups, sets, For example, in the following word problems they are looking for equal groups.
Kate has 32 roses and 48 tulips. She wants to make flower arrangements with the same number of each flower in each arrangement.
What is the largest number of arrangements can she make?
How many roses will be in each arrangement?
How many tulips will be in each arrangement?

    In the first problem, it should be 3 tulips, not roses. But thanks for explaining.
