Thank you for the instructions! Sadly though, I have to handle a gigantic horse (well, in comparison to me). He lets you touch his ears, open his mouth, but as soon as you come to the part were you have to take something over his nose, he throws his head up into the air were you can no longer reach the guy. I wonder how to deal with a hard to bridle horse in this situation?

Love your videos and techniques, but I have one question. You seem to be able to work with horses so amazingly in just a halter and lead-rope for stirring and stopping and everything. Why put a bit in their mouth at all, why not just continue in a bitles bridle?

Nat he didn’t have an answer for you but as someone who trains for other people and prefers no bit I still teach it to every horse because most people use a bit so every horse needs to know what they are and how they are used

Can you use this technique to fix issues with putting the bridle on or is it just for horses having a bridle put on for the first time?

Would you have the snaffle higher up to the corner of the mouth when you start to ride?

ok thanks. Having trouble catching our new pony with head collar but as soon as we get it over the nose it's ok. She walks away all the time. Usually have to bribe her with food. Should I persevere with the fake bridle routine (when she has her head collar on) until she's desensitized (a few times a day)
