I had this issue arise in a fairly complicated way due to restoring an incremental backup from the AOMEI backupper software. You didn't break it 💀 all you had to do was just use another installation media if this didn't work or you messed it up on accident by messing up windows files and reinstall windows, software can't break hardware unless you do it on purpose

Should windows boot manager be your number 1 boot option?

It's just not reading your hard drive. Master boot record will still be repaired.

I. Love. You. I was convinced that the problem was in the software, so I didn’t do anything externally. When you said to remove and put back the Hard Drive, I realized that my SSD had a cable unplugged. I plugged it in, and my freak-out sessions from the past two days are FINALLY over. Moral of the story: always do the obvious.

I get that message, but it's AFTER I get a message that says "Windows is loading files. After that I get that screen, but it only says start Windows normally or Launch startup repair. Either one leads to the Windows Loading files screen again. I can't turn my computer on fully

I believed it was my windows 10 installation that got corrupted and restoring from backup worked once but then it failed again so will reinstall windows 10. next time I will test my SSD for issues.

I replaced my battery with a new original one and Windows on my Alienware 15 R3 no longer started and showed me "No Bootable Device". 😱 I struggled for 2 days to reboot my PC and start Windows 10 in UEFi, Legacy mode, on USB key, in short I tried everything and without success. 😩 In the end I then had the brilliant idea of unplugging and reconnecting my SSD drive (C drive) on which Windows 10 is installed and it worked as before, I didn't lose any files or programs, everything worked as before.💡

I need help I have an acer computer and I did the same steps as u said but after it said loading files the screen just became black

I’ve had this happen twice on two drives and unfortunately nothing worked.

This does help at all, I have multiple SSD's hooked up to my pc all of whick work when connected to other motherboards. When I unhook all other boot devices except for my C drive and the flashdrive when I try to boot to the flashdrive it just tosses the same error back in my face 0xc000000e. everytime I boot to anything involving windows installation it throws the same error, I have tried 3 different installation disks (Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10) and 2 different flash drives (with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10) any ideas? Tried clearings cmos and updating bios still nothing

I find it really suspicious that it just seemed to happen right after I stopped my subscription to Microsoft 365 ( to use Word to write my various college assignments ) this happened! protip: dont reinstal windows. Go into command prompt and try bootrec /rebuildbcd. If it says it cant be done, do bootrec /fixboot and then try /rebuildbcd. Worked for me. But its all too late anyway - im looking at the screen, telling me "preparing" under win10 lading, after i tried reinstalling windows altogether, cuz the screen said "use install drive and go to repair" and "fix while rebooting" didnt work. "reinstall windows and update but keep your settings" didnt work either. Fresh instal just threw old, perfectly fine windows into windows.old and now ive got boatload of reinstallation to do anyway, while giving out "windows cant boot in the next phase"...
