What about the mysql folder in the old data folder, are we supposed to copy that over, too? So it replaces the mysql folder that spontaneously was generated in the new data folder?

And there is a folder called test in the old data folder. Do we copy that over to the new data folder, or not?

I have tried to restore my databases by coping only the databases from the corrupted localserver (wamp) to new installed one and when I try to access them either via code and phpmyadmin, I was denied access and now after I have watched ur video where u said copy and replace [ibdata1] file, i did it and I was granted access to all my databases. In short, u saved my life and energy, u are the best kip up the good work.

Click on the config >my.ini> change the port number under [mysqld] from 3306 to 3307. That's all.

i tried all methods then also not working for me someone please help !!

somehow i deleted my original ibdata1 of 77k kb and now only7 the 12k kb ibdata1 is there and mysql is not starting 😭😭😭 in error log it is showing that theres no error and it is running but actually it is not as shown in the Homepage of Xampp that Activating and Error , so check Error log but Erro log telling no error. WTFKKk is happening 😭😭😭😭
